I took the 2 hour English-speaking Old Town tour of Santiago de Compostella with Lucia as my tour guide. Nice size group of 6 people. Lucia was super interesting and had great anecdotes that I would never have discovered on my own. Lucia's English was very good and easy to understand, even with a covid mask on while talking! The initial email I received from Guruwalks.com had great instructions on where and when to meet and at the end of the tour, Lucia offered to walk us back to the starting point. I have used Guru Walk in Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Lisbon and think they are a great company. Read moreThe tour was interesting and informative. I have been on many free tours in different countries, they’re great. This tour was meant to be a free walking tour but it was implied that we would pay at the end. “The tour is free but you’re also free to pay at the end, I will remind you of this at the end”. All the other “free” walking tours I have been on are free. The guide works off tips, if you’re happy with the tour you tip accordingly. The guide is always thankful for the tip they receive. They take the tip from you and thank you directly. In this case the money was collected off each person who deposited the money in a bag. I have not come across a free walking tour that operates...
