Costa Vella Garden Cafe — Restaurant in Santiago de Compostela

This place is a must-visit if you're in Santiago. Nestled in the prettiest little garden, it offers a serene atmosphere filled with the songs of little birds. While it's just a cafe and doesn't have a full kitchen, it serves up delicious pastries, coffee, and tea. During our stay at the hotel, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast spread including croissants, yogurt, fruits, wonderfully warm and fresh bread, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Later in the day, we savored their decadent chocolate cake (though the revered carrot cake was unfortunately sold out!), paired perfectly with a cafe con leche. The food is great. Not expensive and very delicious. But the people working, act like they don’t care. Not one smile, or a polite welcome or goodbye. The place looks amazing. The garden must be beautiful in spring and summer. But, by lack of better judgement, I was sitting near the garden door and counted over 30 people walking in and out of the garden in the short amount of time I was there. Groups and couples were taking extensive photo shoots, which made the place feel like a tourist attraction. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, busy and the cafe was chilly. Overall not bad, but...

🕙 Fuimos el sábado por la tarde a tomar un café sobre las 5. Éramos 4 personas y nos atendieron en la terraza y después nos movimos al interior.

🧾En nuestro caso pedimos 4 cafés. (3 Con leche y 1 descafeinado) . Café gama media.

💵 El precio total fue de 6,70. 1,70 Café con leche. 1,60 Descafeinado solo.

👩‍🍳 El servicio relativamente rápido y amable. Nos dejaron una bolsa de hielos debido a una lesión para ponerla en la pierna. Nos atendieron con bastante rapidez y estaban al tanto. Personal agradable y eficiente sin ser invasivo ni agobiante.

🌁 El local es mediano/grande. Hay dos zonas interiores. La primera de ellas un par de mesas cercanas a la barra. La segunda son varias mesas en forma de L con vistas al jardín. Ubicadas tras ventanas con madera blanca. Por último, cuenta con una terraza en el exterior y mesas en el jardín y otra parte de terraza cubierta bajo cristalera. El jardín es muy bonito y hay cantidad de plantas. También espacioso y daba el sol.

Dispone de servicios en buen estado 🚾🚻.

📈 Experiencia bastante buena en un local bastante céntrico en Santiago. Buena relación calidad precio, buena ubicación y buen servicio.

📉 El café es de gama media y quizás podría haber mayor variedad en la oferta.
