We searched for a place for a drink. We somehow understood that inside we can drink and outside only order food. So we went inside. We ordered drinks and then we get to know that they expect us to order food also. The waiter was very unfriendly. We asked if there also vegetarian options since one of us is vegetarian, and she simply said “no”. She didn’t try to offer her to do some adjustments, so our friend just ordered bread. We took salad that was ridiculously. 12 euro for “salad” of very Infersh greensand pieces of carrot, a bit onion and canned tuna & corn! It’s a shame to offer it in a restaurant that give a luxury feeling. We could buy a better salad in the supermarket! And they charged our friend 8.8 £ for the bread, like we all ordered, but only she ordered. 2 euro for a piece of plain bread it’s really expensive. If you search for a decent place, that will give you a good value of food for the rate, stay out of this touristic restaurant ** after read their response: I see we had misssunderstanding of the whole thing: we as I wrote, understood that at the outside street we have to order food and inside we can drink. Well it’s fine that they said we also need to order food. So we weren’t that hungry, so we ordered 2 plates of octopus to share and 1 salad tuna for all the non vegetarian. Our friend that is vegetarian, asked for bread and oil. Only at the end she realised that they brought bread for all of us, and this not only her own bread. Again, 8 euro for 4 pieces of plain bread it’s a shame! I see now that you was busy, but all how you talked to us was very not welcoming, and if you want thus to eat, you could a bit make an effort- even offer to make the salad without the tuna… or to bring French fries ( that was on the menu only as side dish). I guess it’s a restaurant only for rich people and for non veg. Better to say it...
Read moreThe place isn't bad in general. My problems were: I ordered olives 3 times, and I was not told the olives were not available. A lot of time could be saved if information is shared. The food portion (ordered chicken curry) is pretty small and pricey. I am not sure what's the reason for this approach is. But i didn't like it. The service is very poor, with bad manners and nor good communication. Hopefully, it wasn't because of my Latino face. Overall, it was a medium to bad experience. Service is bad and...
Read moreI finished my Camino 3 days ago and it was my last night in Santiago and a lot of my friends have flown home already. I was very tired and really wanted seafood paella but every restaurant refuses to do them for only one person. Except this wonderful place! The waiter asked the kitchen for me and it was so delicious and packed full of seafood. The tinto de verano is delicious, the garden is lovely and gets the afternoon sun, also the waiter was so...
