Yesterday, our group of 14 arrived in Santiago de Compostela after successfully completing the Camino de Santiago hike. We were all exhausted and hungry, and we were worried that we wouldn't be able to find a restaurant that could accommodate us without a reservation.

But then we found Casa Paredes. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they were happy to seat us even though we didn't have a reservation. They even gave us a special pilgrims lunch, which included Gallego soup, pork shoulder ham, and empanada tuna.

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We all felt like we were truly being treated like pilgrims.

We had a truly wonderful luncheon experience at Casa Paredes, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Santiago...

The scallop dish was bad. The portion was small and the normally delicate taste of this seafood was completely destroyed by a tomato sauce and piece of jamón serrano. The shrimp were okay. But the worst part is that I was charged for four glasses of wine when I'm sure I had no more than three. Hardly a big hit on the pocket book, but the treatment I received was unacceptable. The waitress simply denied my objection and I, mistakenly, decided not to insist on my point. An establishment of any class would have treated me more respectfully and corrected the bill with an apology. The incident left a blot on my otherwise beautiful experience...

Enjoyed our lunch, very nice people. We were properly greeted at the front. Nothing fancy about this place. Choice of seating outside or inside. The services was excellent, thank you Rosio we enjoyed our lunch. Food always taste so much better when the service is good. We both ordered the menu del Dia. Roasted chicken and roasted beef and they were both excellent, in fact everything was good. We will return, in fact we told the server Rosio that we would return in two weeks to have lunch or dinner.
