Indian Sweet Potato And Chickpea Curry
Curry, a spicy stew that originated 4,000 years ago, has now spread around the world to many different cultures. Our version is a delicious and comforting variation on a south indian dish full of flavour. Made with sweet potatoes, chickpeas and coconut milk and seasoned with indian spices such as turmeric, cumin and coriander. We have included fresh spinach, a superfood packed with vitamins and nutrients and we serve it with white rice (el curry, un guiso picante originario de hace 4.000 años, se ha extendido por todo el mundo a muchas culturas diferentes.
Thai Stir-Fried Rice Noodles
This local speciality from thailand's korat region, similar to the more famous 'pad thai', is naturally vegan and made with gluten-free rice noodles. Its rich flavour is created with traditional tamarind paste, soy sauce, tangy vegan asian sauce and lightly sautéed with onion, garlic, shiitake mushrooms, cabbage, spinach and burmese chickpea tofu made in our own kitchen. Topped with pickled red onions and peanuts for crunch, it's packed with nutrients and protein and has a unique umami taste.
Korean Rice Balls (Jumeokbap) (4 Pcs) (Bolitas De Arroz Coreanas (4 Uds))
These delicious rice balls are seasoned with toasted sesame oil and seaweed. Popular in korea as homemade snacks or street food they can be made with a variety of ingredients. Ours consists of grated carrots, garlic, sesame seeds, pumpkin and a mix of soya sauce and rice wine to bind them together. We then cook them in our air fryer until they are crispy on the outside and moist in the middle. Both tasty and nutritious, these morsels are served with our unique wasabi and green apple mayonnaise.
Indian Pumpkin And Turmeric Soup (Kaddu Shorba) (Small Cup) (Sopa India De Calabaza Y Curcuma (Taza Pequeña))
A soul warming thick indian soup made with pumpkin, potatoes and carrots. Mildly spiced with turmeric and coriander and thickened with coconut cream, topped with mixed seeds, parsley and our own paprika oil. Served with slices of fresh home made garlic and rosemary focaccia.
Mexican Mixed Bean Puffs (Frijoles) (2 Pcs) (Hojaldre Mixto Mexicano De Judías (2 Uds))
A staple mexican dish packed with protein, it is traditionally served in quesadillas. We have wrapped ours in pastry, similar to a samosa or empanada. Brimming with kidney and cannellini beans, potatoes and onions simmered in a 'mexican sofrito' which is a mixture of aromatics and spices such as cumin, paprika and oregano. They are cooked oil free in an air fryer and served with a greek cucumber and mint tzatziki.

What an incredible place for vegans and anyone else to enjoy! The food was really spectacular and unique. The service was beyond compare, honestly. After hiking the Camino, this was literally the only place we could find in Santiago that serves a completely vegan menu. We felt so fortunate to have someone cater to our dietary needs, with a smile and heart felt compassion. The place was busy, so we offered to share our table with others -so that more hungry people could eat. Im so happy we were joined by non-vegan people- who had been in the night before, loving the food and’s service so much. I have been in the service industry the entire of my adult life, and come from a restaurant family in business over 100 years -and i believe i can say a thing or 2 about service- we walked in a bit worked over from the camino, underweight sleepy and maybe even cranky- we walked away hours later filled up, healed- and feeling like family. This place is a real gift to weary travelers. A loving touch is the most important ingredient a cook can use in her/his/their recipes. Of you are plant based, vegan, a traditional eater or anything else- count yourself fortunate to find a seat at this sweet cafe- where the service comes with love and laughter and the food fills your heart and soul! Aloha!

The Green House is one of the most memorable moments of my Camino de Santiago. Entering the place we felt so welcomed by the colourful interior, the great smell from the kitchen and the cosy atmosphere. We almost ordered everything from the menu to share: korean rice balls, mexican bean puffs, sweet potato and chickpea curry, thai stir fried rice noodles and a brownie for dessert. Shanta, the owner was alone tonight and had to run both the kitchen and the restaurant all by herself! Quite impressive! After eating bread, salads and potatoes on the camino the santiago, these dishes were as comforting as you can imagine. We had a great evening sharing our amazing food and having a nice chat with Shanta, who has seen a lot of the world. With the rain outside we could have stayed forever, but getting sleepy from having our bellies stuffed and our souls soothed, our hotel was calling us. Don't skip this place when you're in Santiago de Compostela.

We had a great experience dining at the Greenhouse. First of all, LOVED being able to finally get a lovely healthy nutritious filling and satiating plant based dinner. Amazing. Secondly, love that this restaurant has a concept where they only do three different starter and three main dishes. Makes it a lot easier for an indecisive gal like me. The restaurant was FULL when we got there but we were seated outside till a table freed up inside. We had the Mexican Mixed Bean Puffs with Tzatziki for starters. Found the serving a little bit small for the price but it was okay. Flavour could have been stronger. We had the Thai noodles and sweet potato curry after. We loved the noodles - it was the perfect mix of sweet, sour and salty. However found the curry a little flavorless. But overall a great experience in this lovely establishment. Very cozy place. Loved the decor and all the cook books behind the bar. Healthy green SOUL FOOD.
