Went for lunch for a birthday celebration with my parents and wife.
We enjoyed every moment of the experience - good food, fair prices, kind service, and great deserts as well.
They started off by bringing us tiny Hummus "aparitivo". Then we had Russian salad and Galicia empanada. The salad was really flavourful and the empanada absolutely blew my mind! They later told me it was with pork. Combined with different vegetables is was just on point! Mussels were very fresh and tasty as well as the octopus. The last dish we had were the porkchops that were slow cooked which made the meat just fall off the bone, and the seasoning was absolutely delicious!
For desert we had the cheesecake and the tarta de Santiago that were both very tasty.
Service was great! Very kind servers, dishes served fast and in a great order.

I recommend you make a reservation and arrive before 3 PM because even with a reservation, after 3 PM, the restaurant gets overwhelmed because of limited staffing and the service suffers. We were the first large group there and had excellent service. Other groups that arrived after us sat at their tables for a very long time without being...
Read moreMy sincere thanks to the staff at Los Caracoles - we walked in at about 8pm. Made to feel welcome instantly. Great service with a smile and positive attitude, lovely food (English menu available), nice wine, good value and a good restaurant atmosphere. Both local Spanish customers and many pilgrims present. One of our best dining experiences on the Camino over 6 weeks. For 3 courses a la carte, our food bill was €30 each. Drinks on top. Apart from the dishes in the pictures, we tried Galician (Beef) Pie, egg flan and cheesecake. Our wine was Pedralonga (Tempranillo grape) at €20 per bottle. Also, I enjoyed a glass of their excellent tap 1906 beer. Two well-made coffees (Espresso and Americano) to...
