My spouse and I were not permitted to come inside (initially) after being seated outside, when it had suddenly began to rain. They had at least 3 tables unused inside and I can assure you they were unreserved because they were being given to people who were clearly walk-ins. When the rain became too much, we forced ourselves inside to avoid being drenched and they immediately seated us when seeing what an embarressing scene they caused. Such behavior by a host is practically nonexistent in the United States and considered unacceptably rude and uncivil. Perhaps we were treated this way because my wife wears a headscarf or my brown skin color. We behaved with the utmost civility, respect and deferrence during our trip.
As for the food, we ordered the vegetarian pizza and a salad containing chicken. We found the pizza to be decent (4 star) and salad was mediocre (3 star, to be generous).
We also had a negative experience with service at another nearby restaurant on the same day. So far on our trip, we can say the" bad American tourist" stereotype is overblown and the bad European host lacks...

The waitress snapped that there was no menu, only the one on the wall. Moments later, other people arrived and — surprise — they got printed menus. So apparently, basic service depends on her mood or who she feels like serving. On top of that, she was rude, didn’t even acknowledge us when we said “gracias,” and acted like we were bothering her just by existing. As for the food? Completely forgettable. Tasteless and not worth the attitude. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like a nuisance and eating food that’s as bland as...

Slight annoyance that like a lot of the restuarants there you can't eat before 8pm. The staff were really friendly, the waitress give me an English menu without asking when she realised I wasn't Spanish (although my Spanish does stretch to reading menus it was considerate of her). We really enjoyed the food and the pizzas were a good size (we had two between two adults and a child). It's one of the few restaurants around the central historical area if you don't want the baby pig...
