Alwadi was a nice experience. I was able to park and then walk to the restaurant paid about £7 for parking. Walked along to the restaurant which wasn’t really hard to find but just follow your maps. The atmosphere was nice, it was clear people like the restaurant as I wouldn’t say it constantly had people going and coming - which I usually see as a good sign. The service was interesting because when we arrived there was only one person serving then all of a sudden about 40 minutes later we say a lot more waiters. The cause for concern with the service is how long we actually waited for our food to come through, I’m pretty certain we waited 45 minutes for our food which is quite long. When we ordered drinks in between our meal as well that was another long wait - I ordered an orange juice which took 20 minutes to come. However, although the service was questionable the food I had was really lovely. The lamb chops were good for me, my only concern was the bread (tastes like and looks like pizza bread) not sure why that needed to be on my plate. Otherwise I’d definitely recommend the lamb chops (just don’t eat the bread if you don’t like it). I have to shout out Mohanad! Once he came along he was so attentive to us all and made the not so great service we were receiving beforehand a lot better. I would go again I won’t lie but there are little technicalities!

Restaurant Al Wadi in Seville offers a delightful experience of Arabic cuisine. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with beautiful Arabic decor that transports you to the Middle East. The menu at Al Wadi is extensive, featuring a wide variety of traditional Arabic dishes. From appetizers to main courses, each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. The flavors are rich and authentic, showcasing the best of Arabic cuisine. One of the standout dishes at Al Wadi is the hummus. Creamy and smooth, it is served with warm pita bread and is a perfect way to start your meal. For main courses, the lamb tagine is a popular choice. The meat is tender and succulent, cooked to perfection with a blend of aromatic spices. The Morocan kuskus is also highly recommended, with meat and vegetables. The service at Al Wadi is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring you leave the restaurant satisfied. Overall, the Arabic food at Restaurant Al Wadi in Seville is a true delight. The flavors are authentic, the dishes are well-prepared, and the ambiance is inviting. Whether you are a fan of Arabic cuisine or looking to try something new, Al Wadi is a fantastic choice.

We visited Al Wadi after seeing some recommendations online, but unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. We were a group of 8, including small children. Upon arrival, the manager told us there were “too many of us” and instructed us to wait outside in the heat. Later, we were directed to Al Wadi Terrace, but our family was split up, which we accepted without complaint. The weather was very humid and uncomfortable, but we tried to make the best of it. However, after placing our orders, the service was unreasonably slow. My food alone took more than 45 minutes to arrive. When I reminded the waiter, he checked and told me “10 minutes,” but it still took another 20 minutes. By then, my children were crying and upset, and I had lost all patience. I informed them I would pay for what we had received, but no longer wanted the rest. Instead of showing understanding, the manager was aggressive and unapologetic. Despite the situation, he forced me to pay the full bill and dismissively told me: “Don’t come back if you don’t like it.” For a restaurant that comes recommended, this was an atrocious experience—poor service, lack of care for families with children, and unprofessional management. Definitely not a place I would recommend or return to.

All looked OK. 6 of us dining. Came to order, no large water so had to order small bottles of water at 50% more cost. Four pieces of bread served at table when we asked for more bread the waiter replied “you are only entitled to one piece of bread, we gave you extra”. Lost in translation perhaps but when I said “that’s ridiculous” the waiter got offended! He told me that was disrespectful. His manager than came over to tell me the same thing - only entitled to one bread! It is ridiculous for a restaurant to tell customers about how many pieces of bread they are entitled to. When I asked for the bill for the bread and hummus they had brought to the table the “manager” said I would have to pay for everything. Anyway, eventually the manager seem to change his tune and understood my “that’s ridiculous” comment. They did then bring us more breadl. Lacking flavour. We asked for some chilli or chilli sauce - never came. Didn’t bother asking again. We finished our meal at record time and asked for the bill. Another waiter then came around with tea. Just so potential diners can get a clear picture: i said “no thank you. Waiter “it’s free”. Me “thanks, it’s ok, I don’t want tea”. Waiter looking a little puzzled “but why, it’s free?”. Me “I just don’t want any tea at the moment, thank you. Waiter still standing there puzzled why we don’t want free tea. My wife “sorry, thank you but we are in a rush”. Only then did the waiter give up on insisting we have their tea. Not just ridiculous. Found it...
