All looked OK. 6 of us dining. Came to order, no large water so had to order small bottles of water at 50% more cost. Four pieces of bread served at table when we asked for more bread the waiter replied āyou are only entitled to one piece of bread, we gave you extraā. Lost in translation perhaps but when I said āthatās ridiculousā the waiter got offended! He told me that was disrespectful. His manager than came over to tell me the same thing - only entitled to one bread! It is ridiculous for a restaurant to tell customers about how many pieces of bread they are entitled to. When I asked for the bill for the bread and hummus they had brought to the table the āmanagerā said I would have to pay for everything. Anyway, eventually the manager seem to change his tune and understood my āthatās ridiculousā comment. They did then bring us more breadl. Lacking flavour. We asked for some chilli or chilli sauce - never came. Didnāt bother asking again. We finished our meal at record time and asked for the bill. Another waiter then came around with tea. Just so potential diners can get a clear picture: i said āno thank you. Waiter āitās freeā. Me āthanks, itās ok, I donāt want teaā. Waiter looking a little puzzled ābut why, itās free?ā. Me āI just donāt want any tea at the moment, thank you. Waiter still standing there puzzled why we donāt want free tea. My wife āsorry, thank you but we are in a rushā. Only then did the waiter give up on insisting we have their tea. Not just ridiculous. Found it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAlwadi was a nice experience. I was able to park and then walk to the restaurant paid about Ā£7 for parking. Walked along to the restaurant which wasnāt really hard to find but just follow your maps. The atmosphere was nice, it was clear people like the restaurant as I wouldnāt say it constantly had people going and coming - which I usually see as a good sign. The service was interesting because when we arrived there was only one person serving then all of a sudden about 40 minutes later we say a lot more waiters. The cause for concern with the service is how long we actually waited for our food to come through, Iām pretty certain we waited 45 minutes for our food which is quite long. When we ordered drinks in between our meal as well that was another long wait - I ordered an orange juice which took 20 minutes to come.
However, although the service was questionable the food I had was really lovely. The lamb chops were good for me, my only concern was the bread (tastes like and looks like pizza bread) not sure why that needed to be on my plate. Otherwise Iād definitely recommend the lamb chops (just donāt eat the bread if you donāt like it).
I have to shout out Mohanad! Once he came along he was so attentive to us all and made the not so great service we were receiving beforehand a lot better. I would go again I wonāt lie but there are little...
