Bar Bistec — Restaurant in Seville

Great food, super friendly staff and wonderful low key atmosphere. They were very flexible to accommodate to my daughter’s food allergies. We loved it so much we visited the place multiple times during my 6 day trip to Triana/Seville. By the second visit, I felt we were friends already. I regret not learning their names but the people that took care of us (a gentleman who is French, a lady bartender/server and the cook who prepared our meals and checked on us constantly) were outstanding. We went there the day of the Heraldo de los Reyes, a sort of celebration in which a small parade gets the wish list letters of Christmas presents for the kids. The atmosphere was authentic and fun, the waitress was nice and attentive. But the food was not good, not sure why. The chicken was curry spiced which is weird, and the carrillada had a ton of pepper. The squid was also not fresh. Very disappointing indeed. Might give it another chance though. Rogaría que no fuesen. Lamentable, hasta el momento no me habían tratado así de mal en ningún bar. Siendo de Sevilla, me trataron de manera intimidatoria, presionando al cliente para consumir, retirando los platos aún quedando comida, sirviendo la mitad de la Pepsi que me quedaba en de la botella, interrumpiendo conversaciones para decir… falta algo? Les pongo algo? A lo que le respondo que vamos ha cenar 3 comensales pero poco a poco, estamos tomando una cerveza y a las 21:00 horas no me apetece cenar con el sol fuera aún, tal vez los “Guiris “ estén acostumbrados a esos horarios pero nosotros no, a lo que me responde que o le pido de comer o me tengo que levantar a lo que le respondo que vamos ha cenar pero un poco más tarde, incluso le digo ¿que necesitas de consumición 50,100€ ??? No hay problema pero no se puede agobiar e intimidar a la gente de esa manera con el afán de sentar al turista extranjero para meterle el sablazo y engañarlo. Mi arma, en Sevilla gracias a Dios existen muchos bares como dice el refrán…. Más que botellines de la Cruz Campo. No me volvéis a ver el pelo, pero ni a mi, ni a la gente de la hermandad, ni a todo aquel que pueda recomendarle que ni aparezca por allí.
