Urgh if I could eat here every day for the rest of time, it still wouldn't be enough. My family and I loved Bar Santa Ana so much that we decided to have most of our lunches here for the week we spent in Seville. Now that doesn't mean we have nothing to compare it to, we ventured elsewhere for dinners, and we sampled the local favourite 'gildas' everywhere we went, and hands down Bar Santa Ana had the best. We couldn't get enough of them (see picture, we loved them!). The patatas bravas were also the best I've had anywhere. The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming, all the staff treated us so well. We ate outside on the pedestrianised street which was perfect for the 7 kids we had travelling with us to run around while we could sit back and enjoy our lunch in relative peace. The menu was extensive and all delicious, over the week we probably sampled everything on the menu but the stand out items were- the gildas of course, the bravas, gambas a la plancha, the squind ink croquetas (which the kids all loved), the tomato salad, salmorejo, white chocolate desert. Everything was so reasonably priced and it felt great to get out of the hustle and bustle of the touristy centre and discover a more local vibe in Triana. Our experience was topped when some flamenco dancers from the flamenco school across the road came by one afternoon for their break and performed danced! 15/10 restaurant, delicious food, local wine, cheap beer, perfect ambience. Can't...
Read moreJust had one of my worst experiences in any Spanish bar/tapas. Arrived at 7:40pm told kitchen closed so ordered 4 cold tapas and beer, only received 3 tapas, after 20 minutes ordered another 2 beers, they didn't arrive, asked 2 more times and still now beers so after 40 minutes waiting for the beers asked for the bill instead, what a surprise they had charged me for 4 tapas not the 3 we got and they charged for the 2 beers we did not get. Other tables left as they could not get served, so many other tables trying to pay for their drinks and being ignored. They seemed to have plenty of staff working but nobody was getting any drinks or could order anything. Football supporters in town but none seemed to be at the bar, so no excuse that they were over busy, they bar was not full when I had to go in to get my...
Read moreBar Santa Ana is a must in Seville for many reasons. Strongly recommend a visit for the location, the beautiful bar itself, lovely food/drinks and wonderful staff.
If anyone is considering them for an event - from my experience they are 10/10. My wife and I are Irish but got married in Seville in October 2024. Santa Ana Bar hosted a welcome drinks for us the night before our wedding. This was organised relatively last minute after speaking to the owners a few days before whilst enjoying a morning coffee at the bar. They were so easy to deal with, incredibly accommodating and have left us and our guests with some very special memories.
A huge thanks to the team at Santa Ana and an emphatic thumbs up to anyone considering visiting this special bar in the...
