Horrible place with air conditioning system that was built incorrectly so two rooms don't turn on. I diagnosed the problem (a sensor in the door was non-functional) but had to suffer through two nights before being taken seriously. Staff admitted to being overwhelemed by the passive house system and not knowing what to do. In all my time traveling, this was the first time I literally took bedding outside to sleep. DO NOT STAY HERE!
There are more problems! Their recommend parking solution has a trust score of 1.2 stars on Trust Pilot. Why? Because you get billed for future users of your rental car! Hurray! Now, I get this is a third party, but it's a further datapoint about how overwhelmed staff are by the management problems of the physical facility that they can't figure out to not recommend parking with a company that will fradualently bill you later.
Excited about breakfast? Know that there's lots of things available off-menu, but they won't be explained to you. The food itself is solidly edible, but we were served things we specifically asked not to be given (pork) while not being told that you can order delicious looking eggs and breakfast sandwiches.
If you don't care about the rooms being stiffling hot, the air conditioning not working, the parking being a fiasco, and breakfast being all over the place; why are you bothering to pay to stay here? Just stay at a hostel and save the money. If you choose to disregard my warning and stay here anyway, under no circumstances should you book the patio suite. The desk clerk admitted that it's their worst room because it's on the top floor and facing the sun. It's also their most expensive room;...
Read moreBeautiful stay at Triana House Hotel. We loved every moment of our stay from start to finish to celebrate my partner's birthday.
Located on a quiet street in Seville's Triana neighbourhood, this hotel is a romantic gem, furnished beautifully, with exquisite attention to detail and located about a 10-15 minute walk from downtown Seville.
The staff at Triana House Hotel were very helpful ensuring we had everything we needed to celebrate my partner's birthday. They recommended activities, places to dine and organised a gorgeous breakfast on their terrace both mornings. They even included a delicious piece of chocolate cake with a candle on one of the mornings.
The rooms, hotel and terrace are all gorgeous and feel very authentic. There is a huge amount of attention to detail. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the Penhaligons amenities are a nice touch.
If I had to pick a drawback, the only window in the room looks inwards into their outdoor terrace; not very private. People can walk by and look in easily, so we kept our blind down the whole time which can feel a little claustrophobic.
Other than that, it's a gorgeous hotel! I would recommend this to any couple or group of friends looking for a unique, authentic and stylish stay in Seville with easy access to the hustle and bustle of Triana, downtown Seville...
Read moreI usually only write reviews when I’ve had a positive experience. I’m making an exception here because our experience might help other travelers be discerning in their choices and offer needed feedback to Triana House. On the positive side, the staff was largely very nice and helpful. The room was clean and has good air conditioning. We had two major problems- one is we had no hot water for 3 of our 4 day stay. We were told it would be fixed but it was never fixed. We were not offered an alternative room nor a discount on our bill. The second major problem - this “ hotel” has 2 buildings and one is a hotel and one is a B&B. We booked on Expedia and there was zero explanation of these two tiers. We had no access to shared spaces in the hotel such as the lobby, terrace, or dining area. We had to eat breakfast in our room. We had no refrigerator and no safe. Our shower was a tub with a handheld on a pedestal which is dangerous and slippery even for younger fit people. Our last day we ordered a taxi to the airport and WOW the receptionist gave our taxi to people staying in the hotel instead of finding out if the taxi waiting was ours or theirs. The taxi was ours. You are treated like second class citizens if you are not in the “hotel”. If you book here...
