This is my favorite Tapas Bar in Triana. Like the locals, I make a distinction between Triana and Sevilla, despite the fact that Triana is technically part of Sevilla. With that said, it is my favorite Tapas Bar in Triana and one of my top 3 for all of Sevilla.
The menu is pretty extensive and they also have daily specials as a welcome addition. We were fortunate enough to have the Solomillo (pork loin) with Carbonara. This dish was absolutely perfect! I've asked them to put it on the regular menu but they were noncommittal lol.
My wife and I shared the mushroom risotto, Jamon croquettas, and tuna tartar. All were excellent, tasty, and had a creative presentation. I had the Pringá, which was epic and gives Bodeguito Romero a run for their money! We finished off with the steak.
There is usually a wait but we stood at the bar drinking Manzanilla and eating a few Tapas during the wait. I would highly recommend eating here as it will give you the authentic Tapas Bar experience: tons of locals huddled around the bar, drinking and socializing until their...
Read moreOMG! this was so good. We have visited several other 'highly recommended' bars and they were generally OK. Tipico was a random find, because it was 20:00 and our 18 month old daughter was tired and hangry. At that time the bar was not very busy and the crew put up with us and our very active toddler in an admirable fashion. Tanks to our great waiter and the crew in the back! None of the items was under our expectations, I can particularely recommend: Salmorejo 4 cheese risotto (menu of the day) Pork Sirloin with Idiazabal cheese (great idea with the sweet fruit sauce drizzled on top!) Tipico burger (especially the blend of sweet caramelized onions with the flavourful chese and a good BBQ flavour) Iberian loin with Green Mojo Sauce There were some more things, but I forgot. With 3 glasses of wine we came out at 32 Euros, which is a very fair price for the quality of the food and we were very stuffed as we happily...
Read moreWe were walking in the Triana neighborhood and looking for a place to enjoy tapas. This place looked packed with locals and that is usually a good sign. There were no tables available inside, but lucky enough we got a ledge on the outside window to stand and enjoy their delicious tapas. It ended up being a lot more fun to stand outside and eat as people were using their window ledges as counters. You go inside order the tapas you want and then pay. As the food comes out you pick up the tapas at the bar counter. All the workers were very friendly, and the service was quick. We got the pork cheeks with potatoes, tuna tartare and garlic shrimp. Each and every one of those tapas were so full of flavor. I would order each one of those again if I came back and tried more different tapas as well. It’s not too often that I find a restaurant that didn’t research beforehand it taste so good. I highly recommend...
