Barrabar´s Triana — Restaurant in Seville

Terrible service has ruined our second visit I would like to share my recent experience at this restaurant, which has been quite disappointing. During our first visit, we dined outside, and the service and food were superb. Based on that excellent experience, we decided to return our last night in Seville. Unfortunately, this time, the experience was entirely different. We chose to sit inside for a change, and the restaurant was empty. The waiter who greeted us was very rude, insisting that we could only sit inside if we ordered full portions. We agreed to this, but his attitude was unwelcoming from the start. He served our drinks and then disappeared entirely. As time passed, more clients arrived, yet we remained ignored. After 30 minutes, another waiter came by, but he also neglected to serve us. We were left feeling frustrated and decided to ask for the bill for our drinks and left.

This experience has highlighted how significantly poor service can impact an overall dining experience. The service from some of the waiters definitely needs improvement. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to prevent such issues...

one of our more pricier tapas meals in sevilla but quality definitely made up for that! the star of the show was 100% the black rice with baby squid and shrimps… the portion was MASSIVE as it was able to feed our group of 4 despite being only for 2 and there was surprisingly a generous portion of squid and shrimps in it rather than just rice. we also ordered: tuna potato salad (could have done with an additional element to make it more complex bc it was just potatoes and tuna), fried anchovies braised iberian pork cheek and the garlic shrimps which were all delicious! the drinks however were overly expensive as one bottle of water was €2.75 which was even more than fanta 😯 the restaurant was very clean and looked nice but there were a lot of flies indoors for some reason and our table was close to the toilet which we found quite weird considering you’re meant...

After a day of walking it was time for some food. We stumbled upon this place and decided to eat a few bites here.

At first the lady outside said we could only sit inside even though there were 2 tables free outside. We got seated next to the toilet door and when people didn't close the door we had to do it ouselfs or else we would look into an empty toilet. Kind of gross to do when you are eating.

The portoins of food were great, and that's all the good things said. The heek fish was deepfried with the skin still on the fish. This dish was served on luttuce wich was becoming brown already. The pig cheeks were boiled in a mediocre broth and had no taste what so ever. At least they could have made a reduction of the broth and made a sauce of it.

There was airco in the restaurant and we noticed it because it was dripping water...
