Firstly, food is AMAZING! The flavors bursting thru-they don't rush to make these dishes. It's made with love and care. The presentation alone is beautiful. The Hummus is simple but you can taste the lemon, the olive oil. The pita is light. The falafel wrap is to die for! The tahini sauce is perfect, falafel perfect. The fries are seasoned well and cooked till crispy. The star of their menu for us was the Baba gonush! Please try it. They use roasted eggplant and its mind blowingly amazing. I havent had baba gonush like that in America and it tastes quite authentic to me. The sangria is tasty also and the small is only $2.10. The prices here are so affordable. We pay more than this in America and its half as good. If you want food bursting with flavors, choose this place over the rest. You won't regret it. The staff are so sweet too and not bad to look at 😉. Thank you to the chef and the staff for the best meal we've had so far in Spain. We took a menu home to convince our family and friends to go here next time we're...
Read moreI was stopped by to eat at this restaurant, the waiter was nice and told me everything is "halal" in the menu (meaning exclusively serving authorized food for Muslims). When I checked it, I saw they were serving alcoholic beverages so I kindly asked why do you write and say that your menu is halal when you also serve alcohol and wine. He told me this is for those who want to take alcoholic but the food is halal. At that point the owner came and he was harsh, disrespectful, and arrogant said "you come here to argue?" I replied no I simply want to understand why which he replied coldly and haughtly "I know better religion than you" and he added "keep your way and go eat at Spanish restaurant". If you know the reason and have more knowledge, why did you treated me this way? And why did you have to be disrespectful for a simple question?
I did not argue more because I want to enjoy my vacations but I was completely shocked by his temper and attitude that does not reflect our...
Read moreI used to love this place. Key word - used to. I really miss the tahini sauce they used to offer with the falafel - it used to be tahini, lemon juice, and garlic, but now it also includes dairy in the mix. Not ideal when you're vegan. I told the staff I was vegan when ordering, and they assured me the dishes I was interested in were safe for me. My falafel dish came out with feta cheese on the salad. Obviously not vegan. The sauce, also, looked - and tasted, according to my friends who tried it first - suspiciously not vegan. I asked two workers and they insisted the sauce was vegan. Then I asked a third, saying this time that I was allergic to dairy, and he confirmed my suspicions - saying that the sauce includes "just a little dairy." Good thing I don't have an allergy.
EDIT: I guess they were always liars. I’d gone four times in the past, and every time was told the falafel sauce was “just tahini, lemon, and garlic.” The taste and look has...
