The restaurant The Dorado fish was really nice but the salmon carpaccio was underseasoned. As a whole the food was ok (not bad but not fantastic either). The prices on the other hand were on the pricey side. I wouldn't have minded the whole thing but the service was really bad. The waiter was nice enough (despite the fact that he didn't bring a drink we ordered and also had to repeat an order for some bread) but the waitress rolled her eyes when we asked for a digestive to be served before the meal (as it is common in certain parts of the world...). She also smirked when we asked politely to have the ice removed from a glass (the lady had a sore throat). Last detail that also matters for a tourist: the place says it accepts AMEX but the reader couldn't process it. As real foodies, let's say this. The staff was just working on routine, there was not any personal touch or atmosphere created by them, the youngest waiter was the best, but the more experienced staff members hardly smiled until we tipped them properly! The food, well the state, oysters were fresh and tasted as expected, the anchoa on toasted bread and tomato was blend, watery and had no flavor, the octopus starter was good. The Linguini frutti di Mare was blend and below average compared to many others we ate. Two Italian women eating the same food next to us, had the same experience! My grilled octopus on a bed of mashed Azafran potato was nice, but very little food and less good compared too many others. price-quality should be improved and the pride in Italian style seafood boosted. Whilst the restaurant surroundings and decor was good we weren’t impressed with the service. The waiter wasn’t at all friendly, we felt like we were a nuisance. He didn’t write our order down which consisted of 7 tapas , we had to keep repeating it - not on ! The price for one Scallop was too expensive , 4 of us in our party ordered what we thought would be 2 Scallops per person but it wasn’t clear but you only get one ! Also you only get 1 sardine with a little blob of mayo , the sardine looked like it had been on the plate for some days .My seafood salad , I have to say was very nice .
