Maestro Rufino — Restaurant in Seville

If I could give this place 100 stars, they would have earned every one of them. After a day walking round Seville and being basically refused service by restaurants because we were British tourists, we found this fantastic place. The tapas is amazing, and is excellent value for money. The croquettes are fantastic! The staff are kind and very welcoming. We returned again the next day (today), but unfortunately this time my friend was ill and had to be sick and accidentally smashed a glass whilst doing so. I was worried that the staff may be angry, but they went out of their way to make sure he was okay - they packed our food up so we could take it away and kept asking if my friend was okay. I recently visited this amazing tapas spot in La Alameda de Sevilla, and it was hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. The vibe is super chill and perfect for hanging out with friends. But let me tell you about the croquetas—they were absolutely incredible! Crispy on the outside, with this perfectly creamy, flavorful filling inside. We tried a bunch of other dishes, but the croquetas really stole the show. You know how some places can make them bland or greasy? Not here. These were just spot-on and left me wanting more. Came for dinner at Maestro with my partner whilst on holiday. Food was a great but could not say the same for the service. It was not overall busy, but straight from the get go the waiter seemed already unimpressed, we were sat and order was taken promptly. The waiter would just put items down and walk away, even when we said thank you we did not get a response. A dish we ordered was missing but could not even inform the waiter as they did not even bother paying attention, even when given our mains without a knife we sat and waited until we finally got their attention as of course, it'll be rude to shout to get their attention.
