Last Tuesday August 16th I went to this bar with my brother. Worst service I have seen in a while. While my brother went to the restroom I ordered two beers. The waiter told me I needed to pay for the drinks right away. I explained to this waiter I was waiting for my brother to come back from the restroom so we could order food together. The waiter again told me in a very stern manner I needed to pay for the drinks right away. When my brother came back to the bar, we tried to get the waiters' attention to order some food. After 15 minutes we finally made eye contact with one of them and asked him to help us with our food orders. This waiter responded in a quite disrespectful and with disdain that he did not serve that section of the bar. He turned around and left us. After 10 more minutes another waiter came to us and asked us what we wanted. At that point we were tired of waiting and being ignored so rudely at which point we drank our beers and left. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Service is horrible and waiters are rude and...
Read moreWe were looking for a tapas place that locals go to instead of the mostly touristy places by the cathedral. At 1030pm, most are packed. Patio San Eloy seemed good enough and have tables available. The food is good and reasonably priced. We ordered the Frito variodo, jamon iberico, and variety of seafood tapas, a bottle of white wine, cervesa and bottled water. For 3 adults, it was more than enough. The experience was really except for the horrible service. We were a party of 7 and they refused to put 2 tables together. They split up our party, but when the bill came, they refused to split the check. The wait staff was very very very rude. Argumentative and very dismissive. Yes, we might be tourist and Americans but that’s not how you treat paying “guests” especially when you refused to put us together...
Read moreIt was Sunday, so many of our favorite tapas places in Sevilla are closed. We walked to our favorite tapas bar, but even before it had opened, there was a long queue of patrons outside waiting for it to open. So then we started looking for an alternative tapas bar and were so, so lucky to find San Eloy. It was packed with patrons but it has many standing and sitting options, including the unique tiled tiered seating at the back of the main floor as well as a second floor with tables. We stood at the bar so we could interact with the servers behind the bar (there were nine!) and thoroughly enjoyed numerous tapas and glasses of vino tinto. Highly recommended for a high energy tapas bar with many delicious options, friendly frenetic servers, and...
