This was our first time at a Collection hotel in the Radisson family, so our expectations were high. We had a great stay at this excellent hotel. The service of the employees were the best, and we really enjoyed all of the facilities from the pool, the bar, the lobby, the breakfast area and the restaurant. The hotel consists of two separate buildings with the reception, restaurant, bar, lobby and donning the rooms in one building, and the rooftop pool, poolbar and som of the rooms in another building. It is however very easy to get around and the two buildings and only 5 meters apart. By the pool, you could order drinks and light meals. If the bar was not open, we just rang the bar, and they served drinks and French fries without “delivery fee”. So nice. In the pool, we however saw that some of the tiles we loose and laid on the bottom, so that other guests could potentially get hurt. We took the tiles to the edge so that your pool maintenance team could see it, but they laid there during our entire 8 day stay. We booked a superior room and were upgraded to a premium room at the 3rd floor and as we requested as far away from the elevator as possible. The room was spacious and the furniture was modern and of high quality. The bed was nice and comfy. The bathroom was very spacious with double zink and a very spacious and beautiful bathtub. We liked the complimentary hair and skin products and the free water every day. I little remark is that in our room, there were black footsteps on the wall opposite the toilet. That is not what I expected for a 5 star hotel. As regards the green programme, I think it is a waste to change our soap everyday, as the soap could easily have lasted throughout our whole stay for 8 nights. We also had our towels changed almost every day, although they hang on the rack. Luckily, these last green “issues” did not made our experience bad, but it is input that you could take in consideration for the future. The breakfast was really great with products of high quality. We enjoyed the free a la carte choice of e.g. omelette, poached egg and churros that came with the buffet. We also liked the included champagne to the breakfast as well as the “Bloody Mary” menu with vodka etc. which was also included in the breakfast. The last night, we ate at the Michelin recommended restaurant at the hotel, and I have made a separate review of this. Would we come back another time? Definitely! Especially because of your nice, serviceminded and accommodating staff. What a pleasure!

From start to finish the Hotel was faultless, it's strength is its service - superb reception on arrival (by Sophia) and service attendant (Juan Carlos), limitless pleasantness met with smile, every single person were extremely helpful. Our week coincided with The Holy week - it was the most surreal experience. It brought out the best in the community, the immeasurable passion of the people, the camaraderie and innate energy effused. The views from our balcony was breathtaking. We managed to see it from various angles. Inma was so personable and helped us with various queries. We had a taster course at the hotel and the Manager for the evening explained each courses very well and made it special evening for us. The food was delicious and the service was second to none. He even went the extra mile to explain the procession and gave us some tips of churches to visit. Lastly, the credit must go to the GM, The Talented Mr Rust. He spent time talking to us (and to other guests), modest and nothing was too much for him. He was everywhere. We needed transport to the airport on the last day but due the procession the roads were closed off, Mr Rust, and another personnel (can't recalled her name) organised for an attendant to escort us to a taxi. I ve met many GMs but HE is The Master of hospitality. Definitely return to this hotel.

This Radisson Collection Hotel is located in the heart of the city on the historic Plaza de la Magdalena. It was a pleasure each day to sit and enjoy the scent of this lovely orange tree lined square and the tranquility of the fountain. Our elegant room was very comfortable, clean and bright. The Reception staff were always warm and welcoming. They were knowledgeable about the area and gave us great tips on activities and restaurants. As Seville is considered to be the birthplace of Flamenco, taking in a show was an absolute must-do. They recommended a fabulous show that was passionate, intense and intriguing! The Eneko Basque restaurant at the hotel is a truly amazing with its exceptional cuisine! Expressive décor and thoughtful service are the hallmarks of a good hotel, but the primary goal of a great hotel is providing guests with an unforgettable experience. We loved our stay at Radisson Collection Hotel, Magdalena Plaza Sevilla!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Radisson, and unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations for a 5-star hotel.

Firstly, and it is minor, but during our check-in we were not given any information about the hotel. We had to ask where the restaurant was, and apart from a mention of the rooftop bar (more about that later), we weren't told anything more about the facilities. We expected a warmer welcome.

When we entered our room, we were happy with how it looked. However, we soon realised that the room had issues that together added up to disappointment. Firstly, the toilet seat was broken. After the first use it seemed that a screw had come loose previous to our stay, and the seat came half off in my hand. I am not sure how this could not have been noticed during cleaning. The glasses in the room were also not cleaned properly — they smelled strongly of fruit juice, and had marks all over them. We wanted to take some items from the minibar, but realised that they had expired 4 months prior.

We left the hotel for dinner and came back later to sleep. At this point we realised that we could hear the sound of plumbing loudly gurgling in the room, presumably whenever someone else on the first floor used their shower or toilet. It was loud enough that it was difficult to get to sleep. The rooms do not seem to have very good noise insulation, so the noise of plumbing, the noise of people talking in front of the lifts in the hallway or closing their room doors, and the noise from the street (from the first floor there is noise from the square below), combined to ensure we did not sleep well.

On the next day I called down to reception to ask for a room change, and to their credit they handled this very well. We were moved to a different room on the same floor which was generally much quieter. The room was beautiful. However, we were a little bit surprised to find that the glasses in that room were also not properly cleaned. There was some noise from outside the hotel, but not as much.

Apart from the issues with the room, the stay was relatively nice. The breakfast was quite nice, and we were not too bored of it by the end of the 4-night stay. The location of the hotel is great, and the small square the hotel sits on is lovely.

Coming back to the rooftop bar — we were also quite disappointed by this. The hotel includes it in marketing material as though it is part of the hotel, which is a little bit disingenuous. It's not run by the hotel at all - it is just on the rooftop of one of the 2 buildings the hotel occupies. My wife and I had hoped to relax up there during our stay, and it was part of the reason we booked this hotel, but it was not particularly welcoming. We went up there on one of the first nights to find it completely full, with club music pumping. The man at the door greeted us in Spanish, discovered we could not speak Spanish, walked away and then never came back. We tried on another night and it was similarly unwelcoming, so we did not go back.

Overall, given the price and our experience, we would probably not come back to this hotel...
