Restaurante Alfalfa 8 — Restaurant in Seville

Unfortunately we did not have a good time here. We arrived very hungry and ready to eat, and ordered a lot of drinks before food as the waitress said she would come back later for our food order despite us trying to order all at the same time. However when we tried to order our meals - the chicken, she said the restaurant was out of chicken. This was unfortunate as we didn’t have anything else we wanted to eat. She walked off quite rudely when it was clear we now didn’t know what we wanted to eat. We wish we had been told that a huge component of the menu was gone as we felt we had to stay as we had a lot of drinks but didn’t want to eat anything else. We ended up getting a small tapas plate (which was nice) to tide us over while finishing what we had ordered and it was slammed down on the table before us without any eye contact or smile. I understand sometimes food runs out but we should have been informed before ordering drinks, as it was a huge component of the whole menu that was gone. Didn’t feel we were treated...

Sevillanos y amantes de lo auténtico. En este lugar no sois bienvenidos.

Pasamos por la Alfalfa un Viernes a las 18:30h. Nos sentamos para tomar una cerveza, estando ya sentados nos dice el camarero que sólo sirven comida. ¡¡A las seis de la tarde!! Y que por supuesto nos tenemos que levantar.

Que veo bien que tengan la cocina abierta todo el día para los guiris, pero que no te puedas tomar una cerveza sin comer... ¡A las 6 de la tarde! De todas formas va en sintonia con la Plaza de la Alfalfa, que pena.

Y que pena de Sevilla, un decorado dónde los de aquí sobramos.

Le respondo querido propietario, Sí. He comido en su establecimiento. Vivo en el centro, y me dedico al turismo, este verano pasaba por allí y me senté precisamente en su "restaurante" con unas 12 personas que visitaban la ciudad. De haber sabido su política de "no somos bar", eso es para la plebe, somos RESTAURANTE" ni se me hubiera pasado por la cabeza sentar allí a mis acompañantes... La comida, ni la recuerdo, así que nada especial, eso sí, la cuenta fue excelsa, porque yo precisamente no voy a los "bares" a ver las palomas.

Por cierto, este verano tampoco era la primera vez que me sentaba en su terraza, ya lo había hecho antes, ¿Cuándo? En 2020 y 2021. Y sabe usted, en ese momento no tuve problema en tomarme una cerveza sin comer, eran momentos duros para la hostelería, y aquí estábamos los "sevillanos cainitas" para consumir, porque en tiempos de pandemia eramos necesarios, ahora os estorbamos ¿verdad?

Por supuesto que mi estilo no es agachar la cabeza ante quienes retuercen la verdad y usan la mentira. Para mi no hay lugares para plebeyos, está claro que para usted sí.

¿Sabe que en Google maps se puede ver un histórico por años y efectivamente en 2020 y 2021 el "Restaurante" estaba abierto? ¡Qué usted no fuera el propietario? Puede ser, pero viendo como miente como para creerse algo de usted y su "RESTAURANTE"

Nos veremos por el barrio, aunque dudo que usted lo frecuente. Salud y suerte.

Otra vez aquí, porque usted dijo que lo iba a dejar, pero no. Aquí sigue, rigor le falta a usted para dedicarse a su negocio, veo que tiene mucho tiempo libre, que suerte, yo me dedico a contestarle mientras... en fin, mientras hago otras cosas.

Pues resulta que en 2022 también me tomé algo en su negocio, sí, efectivamente. Por cierto mientras hago mis cosas he visto su Instagram... Y pone el mejor bar de Sevilla, ¿Pero no era un RESTAURANTE?

Bueno, pues vuelve a contestarme el PROPIETARIO, y eso que lo iba a dejar tres mensajes antes, ni eso cumple con su palabra. Cómo estoy en mi ratito de def... descanso pues le contesto,

Querido PROPIETARIO, por suerte me va bastante bien en la vida, y si su respuesta hubiera sido sincera, pero ha huido hacia adelante, atacando, veo que lo hace en todas las opiniones que no son de su agrado. De verdad, le vendría bien alguien que le gestionara esto algún profesional, y que no lo hiciera usted mismo, da una imagen de negocio pésima, ha quedado claro en sus respuestas que en este negocio no son bienvenidos los sevillanos.

Alfalfa 8 is wonderful! It is situated in our favorite district within Seville. We were walking back to our accommodations late one night, and we had stopped to admire a spray painted depiction of the city. We chatted with one of the staff as he locked up. He mentioned they had just opened and to come by if we were still in Seville the next day.

I cannot express how happy we did decide to go back the next evening. Everything about this place made for a wonderful experience.

The food was hands down the most delicious we had while in Seville (which says a lot because we ate at some other wonderful spots). The food was fresh and the flavor combinations were well balanced. There wasn’t one thing we ordered we didn’t like.

The staff were incredibly kind as we made our way through ordering in broken Spanish. I could say what we ordered to recommend some options but really you can order anything here and you won’t be...
