Restaurante Trotamundos — Restaurant in Seville

Our experience was ruined by the attitude of Ana Rosa at front of house. On arrival, she ignored us completely, and we ended up being kindly escorted by a security guard instead.

Later, when we had finished our food and wanted to order more drinks, her manner was noticeably cold, and she seemed almost outraged that we had addressed her to ask for service—which was in stark contrast to the warm welcome and interaction she offered other guests.

When we were ready to leave, my partner called to Ana, smiling, and gently asked in English if we could have the bill. Ana appeared visibly irritated and replied only with the Spanish word for “bill,” refusing to acknowledge the request in English even though it was clear she understood.

When my partner repeated the question in English—because we genuinely didn’t understand her response—Ana again repeated the Spanish word. At this point, another staff member began laughing at us.

My partner is Chinese and had chosen to use English instead of Mandarin precisely because it seemed the most accessible and courteous way to communicate. We had also done our best to interact with the staff in Spanish up to that point, all of whom responded to us in English, seeming to prefer ease and clarity of communication.

When the bill finally arrived and I explained that our Spanish was not very good, she offered only a sarcastic apology.

Tuve el placer de disfrutar de una experiencia gastronómica excepcional en el restaurante Trotamundos. Desde el primer bocado, supe que estaba en un lugar especial. La hamburguesa de atún fue una revelación, con un sabor fresco y perfectamente sazonado que la convirtió en uno de los mejores platos que he probado.

Las patatas fritas, por otro lado, fueron simplemente brutales; crujientes por fuera y suaves por dentro, complementaron a la perfección los demás platos. La ensalada de tomate rosa con burrata búfala fue un deleite para los sentidos, con ingredientes de alta calidad que resaltaron la frescura del tomate.

No puedo dejar de mencionar el arroz de presa ibérica, que fue una verdadera delicadeza. Cada bocado estaba lleno de sabor y textura, mostrando la maestría del chef.

Además, el trato recibido fue exquisito, digno de un hotel de 5 estrellas. El personal fue atento y profesional, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera aún más placentera.
