Visited this great bar this December 2016 for breakfast Pablo's style always enjoying an Entera Catalana (sandwich with Iberic cured ham, tomatoes & olive oil) plus another Entera Catalana York con queso (sandwich with York boiled ham, tomatoes, manchego cheese & olive oil) and a couple of the ever optimum cafe con leche served in a wee glass. Seeing master multitasker Luis & Co efficiently working & serving punters is a treat...It is still a 5 stars place 2 years after my first review...
Bar Pasaje (Calle Luis De Montoto) is just round the corner from El Corte Inglés, the Centro Comercial Nervion Plaza & the Sevilla FC grounds (Sanchez Pizjuán Stadium) all of them in Calle Luis De Morales. I gladly visited them every day of my summer Andalusian holidays. It’s an excellent place to fill prior to start your day. Tasted: cafelito con leche fría (white coffee with cold milk) + una entera catalana, jamon York y tomate (a panino with York ham, tomatoes and olive oil) + una entera de jamon Serrano, queso Manchego y tomate (a panino with Serrano cured ham, Manchego cheese tomatoes and olive oil) + una entera de carne mechada (a panino with slow cooked mildly spicy tender beef with olive oil) not in one go though.. Great and affordable kick off!!! Fresh squeezed orange juices obviously available too. Super friendly, effective and efficient service and a very clean/spotless tapas bar restaurant that I've ever been. Super...

Not only that, but when we ordered a Tropical salad with avokado, mango, pomegranate and wallnuts, they made it with pomegranate seeds that had gone bad and overiped. The pomegranate seeds were soft and tasted badly fermented. When we complained for that, we got a new salad without pomegranate seeds but this time the avokado was rotten and brown / grey.
The waiter tried to save the situation by telling us that we wouldn't have to pay for the salad that was made of rotten pomegranate & avocado, and that he would charge the main dishes according to the cheaper prices announced outside...
Read moreService was nice. Food was disappointing: grilled squid had bad aftertaste of greasy grille; fried vegetables had taste of old oil; swordfish dry and together with potato chips was just floating/drowning in a lot of oily liquid; bowl of salads was overwhelmed by way too much soy sauce; sangria had sugar just sitting there on the bottom of the glass. Expensive for such quality of food. They were the only one open and serving food in the area Sunday afternoon. Menu was not their regular menu apparently, probably just to serve something to clients during the siesta hours, waiter tried explaining something but communication wasn't smooth due to...
