This place was weird. Great in some ways, terrible in others, oddly inconsistent.
The overall ambiance is amazing, the entrance is straight up dreamy. But then the part where we were seated had very white light, felt like an office. The path to the restrooms is very cool, including the sound design, but the bathrooms themselves were dirty and unmaintained (my cabin door wouldn't lock, the toilet cover wouldn't stay in place).
The food was quite good throughout. Not a ton of vegetarian options, but everything we had was delicious.
And then there's the service. The staff was clearly well-intentioned, everyone was friendly and quick to acknowledge, but actual service was dismal: We had reservations for 7pm, right upon opening. After unlocking the outside door, no one invited us (in or the other parties waiting on the sidewalk). Our table was very wobbly, and not because of uneven feet. Until they figured it out (had to screw the top onto the base), instead of seating us in any of the 10 similar free tables around us (remember we were there right at opening?) they made us wait I ordered one of the kids items from the menu. I was told it didn't exist. I showed them their own menu. They said it had never existed, and showed me the options on their phone ordering app, as if I should care. I said I was very disappointed, and the server managed to figure out an alternative, which I appreciate. The mains arrived at pretty different times There weren't enough utensils for the mains, we had to ask for them. After we were done eating, it took some 15 minutes for anyone to even notice us. When they did, I ordered a dessert and the check right away, because of the delay. After 15 more minutes, no dessert had come, and the server came to check on us. I said the dessert never came. He was surprised. After a few minutes he comes back and asks "what did your order? I'll go get it right away" (he had taken the order himself). There were dirty dishes on the table throughout all of this, no one picked them up. Finally, the dessert arrived (it was great), but with no utensils. I had to call them back for it. Got two spoons (we were 4), but I was too tired to ask for more by this point. Finally, the check arrives... And they overcharged the kids dishes. I pointed out the price in the menu (it was a different waiter by this point), and I,had to go through the whole "we don't have this dish" dance again. Felt kafkaesque. The server took it back, corrected it (albeit begrudgingly, it seemed), we paid and got the hell out of there.
Overall, the concept is good, the decor execution is awesome, and if you have better luck than we did with service, I think you can have a good time.
But this is far from a well-oiled machine, and it blows my mind they can have 7 locations across the country and operate in such an amateur away. Definitely not recommending...

Now the mayor issues we had: we ordered the drinks and they served them and after that, we waited 10 minutes and nobody came to take our order while the table next to us came later and they got the drinks and their food ordered. The Tataki we ordered was cold (the eggs and the salmon were good) but the fries were cold like 10-15 minutes out of the fryer. We ordered 2 drinks before the last dishes came to our table and when we finished them, like 20 minutes later, one of the waiter came with the drinks and we had to say that we didn't want already as we had finished with the dinner. When we asked the bill, they didn't remove the drinks we didn't drink and explained the situation. The guy who returned them should have removed it from the account instead but whatever. We didn't like the experience at all because of all the issues we had and it's a shame as it has potential but the service was awful and could improve a lot. Maybe in the future will take in consideration but it's a...
