Shambala 烧饼阁 — Restaurant in Seville

What a gem! I’ve lived in Sevilla for years and this has been one of the best chírlese food experiences I’ve had. Unlike anything else you can get in the city, and in such a great location off the Alameda. Hui Jun, the owner and head chef, was such a delight. She offered excellent service and is so passionate about showing guests her food and culture. They have this super cool charcoal oven in the back where they make their pork stuffed bread pockets, kind of like a Chinese pizza she says. The glutinous rice noodles with chicken were fantastic, as well as the tofus soup with beef. But my favorite were the Shambala (?) dumplings. All of it was homemade including the rice doughs. As Asian gem in the midst of Seville. Owner was really friendly and courteous—she immediately gave our little boy biscuits and a highchair without even asking. The food was handmade and delicious—loved the shaobing stuffed pork flatbread & the gyoza soup is comforting. Ambience was nice. As a Vegan it’s hard to find well balanced and tasty meals in restaurants. Many vegan restaurants are quite amateurish. This restaurant offer clearly homemade very tasty dishes both for vegans like my self and for meat eaters alike. The service was warm, quick and attentive.
