Disappointing Experience at YOU SUSHI Sevilla

We visited YOU SUSHI in Sevilla on December 24th, as most other restaurants were closed for family celebrations. Initially, everything seemed fine, and we were glad to find a place open. However, our experience took a turn when the bill arrived.

The restaurant added a 30% surcharge to the total, claiming it was due to being open on Christmas Eve. When we inquired, the owner explained that a notice about this charge had been posted on the door. However, this notice was neither prominent nor mentioned by the staff upon our arrival, leading to an unpleasant surprise for us and, as we noticed, for other customers as well.

The food itself was mediocre—acceptable because we were hungry, but certainly not worth the inflated price. This practice of adding an uncommunicated surcharge feels misleading and leaves a bad impression.

We would not recommend this restaurant due to the lack of transparency and subpar dining experience.

Normally I don't leave feedback for restaurants, but after having here today lunch I cannot stay quiet since I had my worst experience in a japanese restaurant, or any other restaurant in my lifetime!

Rice of both maki we ordered tastes SWEET and CHEWY! Morever there was so much rice in the rolls compared to the other ingredients that was impossible to taste the salmon or shrimp inside the rolls, but only SUGAR. Can you imagine how could be eating sweet chewy sushi?!?!? edamame seems like of the day before fried rice arrived cold

We chose this restaurant just because the other one in the same street was not opened yet.. this may be its only positive aspect, but I'm sure that it would be much better if we had waited for the other...

Went there because of the reviews and I have to say I was a bit surprised. If it was half of the price, I could totally relate, as the food quality is more similar to a fast food sushi restaurant, and not a restaurant that charges 6 euro for adamama, 11-14 euro for Raman and 20 euro for a sushi mix. The quality didn't match the price. It was basic. You know how you buy in a supermarket instant noodles, put hot water inside and wait for it to cook itself? That was the chicken Raman. It was nice!
