We came to this restaurant based on its high Google ratings. The place itself is pleasant — the interior is neat, and the atmosphere is inviting. Unfortunately, that was probably the only clear advantage. Service was more or less fine; the staff was reasonably attentive. However, we immediately noticed that all the wine glasses were dirty. We asked to have them replaced several times, but eventually realized they had just wiped the same glass with a cloth and brought it back - not washed or changed. This is unacceptable for any restaurant. As for the food, the experience was underwhelming. We ordered the black rice with seafood — the rice was dry, and the seafood was overcooked to the point that the langoustine shells stuck to the meat, making them difficult to peel. We also had fried calamari in batter, which were so over-fried that all we could taste was the heavy coating — the squid itself was lost. The croquettes were very basic, lacking any distinctive flavor. Edible, but unremarkable. There was one dish - something with potatoes, though I don't recall the exact composition - that stood out in a good way. It was beautifully presented, garnished with a flower, and genuinely tasty. Also, a friend of ours ordered the Caesar salad and said it was very good - fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced.

Still, we left most of the rice and calamari untouched and ended up going elsewhere for dessert to salvage the evening. While a few items were decent, overall, this is not a place we'd return to for a...

I have ALWAYS been a big fan of the PicNic Restaurant and of other different places that belong to the Matas Family. So I have been trying to find time to make it to Sofia By PicNic for a long time. And I must admit that I could kick myself for NOT finding that time way before. What an awesome experience all around. We sat outdoors after a crazy storm and it was perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. There are SO MANY interesting dishes to choose from, that we basically just asked the maître, Alberto, to help us out. And he took time out to do it and explain several dishes. Everything was delish and unique. Baby scallops in a white wine sauce with Iberian ham and Parmesan cheese... and lightly grilled! Baby squid with caramelized onion cooked to perfection. And an amazing fish stew called "suquet" in Catalan. We even got to try some Iberian paella because the portions are so large, the couple at the table next to us offered us some!!! Going back for a whole one for sure! The wine he suggested was perfect. And I'm not big on desserts, but everything was so good we decided to have a sort of French toast with vanilla ice cream. Brilliant! And the price was certainly more than reasonable. I obviously can't wait to go back... again and again and... Thank...

We visited Sofias in the evening for dinner. The venue and staff look very sharp and clean. We chose a starter of Cod Fritters and Aged T Bone Steak Croquettes. We share these my favourite was the T Bone Croquettes, but the cod fritters were very nice to. They were warm and very well presented. Next, we moved onto our mains, and two of us had Tenderloin Beef with bratas potatoes. These were served on hot iron plates. The beef was beautifully cooked on the bbq. Our friend had apple brambry roast sucking pork with padron peppers and potatoes. This was well cooked and hot. We all agreed a sauce for potatoes would be good when the server popped up with Alioli. The meal was lovely, so we decided to continue with deserts. Smoked cheesecake and a passion fruit panacote both were great. We highly recommend dinner her thank you very much team a fabulous meal and you should all be proud of how wonderful the...

Had a couple of great meals there. Creative food produced with passion, from the salmon tartare with mango and Granny Smith apple to cream filled pastries on a bed of cotton candy. Thinking of what it would cost in London, it’s reasonable, but pricier than many local alternatives. Was a bit odd having the beef arrive with no options for sauces, and a pile of potatoes but can’t complain as the sister restaurant across the street provided a pile of rice as the accompaniment! The pork (suckling pig) was melt in the mouth, and scallops just beautiful. Highly recommended. There’s also a fixed price menu available which has a glass of cava included.
