I’ve eaten here a few times and while it’s nothing spectacular it certainly serves the purpose of eating nachos and having a beer or two. Yesterday unfortunately I decided to try a “Club” sandwich. What was served to me was a panini with three pieces of bread, some cheese, a bunch of uncooked bacon and some small round wilted things which the waitress explained was lettuce. We ate the bread and the cheese because we were starving and left the pile of raw bacon on the place. When we finally got ahold of our server again she explained that was the way the sandwich is prepared. She said some of the bacon is cooked and some of it is ‘half cooked’ and that’s their norm. A revolting sandwich - pretty much one of the most disgusting things anyone has ever served me - and when I informed the server of that fact she did not apologize or anything, just charged us for it and wished us a nice day. I can overlook that they want to refer to that a a ‘club sandwich’ but for the very fact that they did absolutely zero for us when they knew we were so unhappy with something I will never be back. They appear to be just another place to churn tourists through and make quick money instead of making people happy and satisfied with their food....
Read moreI rarely give negative reviews. In this case I'll make an exception. We were hoping to watch the Tour de France live given how exciting the 2020 race was. This venue seemed like the perfect fit. Heaps of screens, nice and open spaces. The restaurant was about half full and we asked for a table to have a few drinks and watch the cycling. We were told in no uncertain terms that we could only sit if we also ordered food as well as drinks. Given we had just came from lunch and we were already full we had to pass and watched the stage on a mobile phone instead.
Today for the last stage in Paris we tried again. None of the TVs were showing the Tour despite a big flag out front of the venue proclaiming to show the cycling live! We asked for one of the (many) TVs to be changed from the football. Once again we were told they could not do so. What kind of sports bar is this! In short, if you are looking for a sports bar,...
Read moreThis bar has good food and friendly staff, and it’s reasonably priced. However, it’s not much of a sports bar. On the 9th of August, they showed Coventry vs Hull on Sky Sports, but when we came in the next day (10th) to watch Aberdeen vs Celtic, we were told they didn’t have Sky Sports. Instead, there were six TVs showing cycling, which no one was watching! It really needs to cater to its customers; otherwise, what’s the point in calling itself a sports bar. Was told initially they don’t have sky sports but then when I said you had it yesterday I was told oh we’re not showing that game. The most annoying part is I had to sit at a table watching the game on my phone when the staff could easily have put it on one of...
