I had the unfortunate displeasure of dining at this establishment, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. We waited an excruciating hour and a half for our main courses, and the experience did not improve from there. To kick things off, the starters arrived, and one of them was completely wrong. The calamari that did make it to our table was undercooked, making it a rubbery and unpleasant experience. What's even more baffling is that when our mains finally made their entrance, the plates from the starters were still cluttering the table. It was a stark reminder of the disorganization that plagued the entire dining experience. Speaking of disarray, let's talk about the "chips" that accompanied our mains. They were supposed to be chips, but they absolutely weren't. It's like they grabbed the wrong item from the kitchen altogether. One of our party requested prawns to be deheaded and deshelled, a simple enough request. However, when they arrived, they were far from deshelled. When we politely brought this to the attention of the staff, the response was nothing short of obnoxious. The culinary horrors continued with the salmon, which was raw on the inside and barely cooked on the outside. It was a food poisoning waiting to happen. As for the pizza, it was mysteriously missing its marinara sauce, leaving it dry and unappetizing. The supposed "pepper sauce" turned out to be sweet and tangy, bearing no resemblance to real pepper sauce. If the culinary catastrophe weren't enough, the staff's rudeness and utter lack of customer service skills were the final nail in the coffin. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. To add insult to injury, we paid over €150 for this subpar experience, and I can confidently say I would have had a better meal at a fast-food outlet. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.

Best ever restaurant I have been to in Puerto del Carmen! This is my second time here within a single trip. The fish is so big and fresh, yet with very reasonable price. The dish is well cooked. No wonder there are customers coming for every lunch and dinner as if this restaurant is their dining room. I have tried Restaurante Puerto Bahia, which is not as good. The prawn is obviously not fresh, but more pricey. I guess it’s just because of the view there. But honesty if you have dinner, you can’t see anything of the sea because it’s just darkness... The owner and staff in this restaurant are very friendly and fun. You will build a tie with them easily. They seem to have good relationship between themselves too. I will definitely come again for my next visit to Lanzarote. Highly recommended.

What can I say , me and my girlfriend just loved it . I’m telling you , she loved more then me . We went on a couple restaurants around but never found the same ‘’ welcome home’’ feeling that we had over there . The food was amazing, and she is Spanish so she knows what we talking about , I would recommend the gambás al ajillo whit mushrooms that’s was our favorite starter and the arroz negro as a main . It is delicious. All of them days our man Morad was taking very good care of us , whit recommendations . The man literally runs the place . Big Boss Morad , look out for him . And make Shure u tip the man . On our last night out there he brought out the steak , that is amazing , but comes in a show of manner for the food enthusiast. I appreciate everything n will be back

Wow. Porto Mar. Stay well away.

It all started so well, garlic prawns were fine. Bottle of house white. All good so far.

Then we awaited the mains: Lasagne and Canneloni.

They arrrived burned. My partner started to eat hers and I pointed out that it was burnt. We spoke to the waiter, he accepted both were burnt, and sent both back. He took both back to the kitchen. What happened next was outrageous.

The chef stuck his fingers up to us both. I’ve never ever been treated this way.

We both sat in a state of shock. My partner said she would go and chat to the staff about what had just happened. When doing so, the chef continued to wave his middle finger at her.

Sat at the table, watching this, I have never seen anything like it. It was outrageous.

My partner arrived back at the table following and I explained she had been sworn at, again, by the chef. Following this, we pointed it out to the staff who told us we had made it up. We, at one point, had 5 staff around us, including a man in a chequed shirt, telling us we had made it up and it had never happened. We then had another young man apologise to us and said he’d never seen anything like it and he was sorry. Another, who claimed he was the manager although he wasn’t, say he was so sorry, this has never happened before and offered us a free meal.

Needless to say we walked out.

Avoid Porto Mar. Awful, could take the bad food but the terrible and aggressive service not a chance!

Stay away from Porto Mar.

Edit: I forgot to add the first claimed the chef was waving, then they said he was only 17 (he was middle aged at youngest) and they then claimed they’d sacked him and taken his...

Pushy and forceful. I personally dislike any restaurant where you’re pounced on when you’re within a metre of the door but the guy they have at the door who’s sole job is to sweet talk people in to the restaurant was like a dog with a bone and just wouldn’t shut up or let us pass. Promising everything under the sun just to get us into the door.

We ended up caving as this guy saw that my son was hungry and tired and badgered us until we backed down. From that moment on I hated the experience.

Food was awful - and that's being kind! Pizza tasted like wet cardboard with cheese on top and my sons four cheese spaghetti was so over powering with goats cheese or similar that none of us could eat it even after we seasoned it something that hadn’t been done in the kitchen.

I don’t understand all the rave reviews, it’s nothing more than basic tasteless food with pushy sales staff. We never actually received any of the “free” stuff promised to us at the door. (Not that we wanted it it’s the sheer audacity of the guy and the principal of it).

I really wish we’d stuck with out gut and just kept walking - avoid unless you’re into tourist traps.

We’re still annoyed that I...
