Shenanigans — Restaurant in Tías

Walked in with my husband waitress was on the ball an got us a seat straight away, my husband ordered 2 San Miguel from her and off she went. A waiter was sent down and said there was a problem with the till and extra had been put on our bill he gave us our two drinks and walked away. There was bit of commotion at the till with the staff and the waiter was sent back to our table to say the table beside us had done a "runner" on the bill. And we were being charged for their drinks I asked for the original waitress to come back as we weren't with this table and she had seen us coming in. The original waitress came back and tried to explain why we had to pay for drinks we didn't have nor were we sitting with this table that a done the "runner". I told her we wanted our correct change and the extra drinks removed from our bill. She returned with the correct change. This all happened within the space of 5 minutes. A male member of staff stood behind us staring at my husband and myself, I turned and asked was there a problem he said "be happy you got the money" Left immediately....

Came here last Thursday for a bite to eat with my husband and 2 kids. We hadn't been to Shenanigans in about 3 years and always enjoy coming here.

The waitress was a lovely Irish girl in her early 20's, I forgot to get her name, she had dark hair with dyed bits at the front. My daughter had chilli nachos which were delish, my other daughter had chicken fajitas with canarian potatoes and myself and my husband had scampi with chips. These were unreal, proper big scampi in gorgeous homemade tempura batter with salad, Marie rose sauce and homemade chips.

The manager is a lovely friendly Irish lad who never stops smiling, I can't remember his name but he is a credit to this place, he told us he's originally from Clare I think?!

It was a bit nippy the evening we were here and I asked him to put on a couple of heaters and he did it straight away. Also he moved a table and chairs as our friends were meeting us later here, nothing is too much trouble.

We are back in August and we will definitely be back, prices very reasonable too, keep up the...

Food was nice. Service was good … to start with. Asked for drinks.. 20 minutes later asked again then again as still hadn’t bought us any. Finally came then asked for desert menu. For menu then waited around 20-30 minutes for someone to come back and take our order, then walked off without our whole order. Then waited 30 minutes for our puddings. Took 3 hours on the service from start to finish, mains, 2 lots of drinks and puddings. What a joke, had to ask 3 times for the bill too. Poor services despite nice food.
