Foster's Hollywood — Restaurant in Tarragona

We used to frequent this place because the food was decent and the service was good. However, I was deeply disappointed this time! When we arrived, we were shown to our table pretty quickly and took our drinks order immediately. There were only 4 tables occupied including ours. After bringing our drinks, the waitress didn’t take our order…fine, maybe to give us time to decide. However, after 30 min passed, our order was not taken yet. What we saw was the staffs busily distracted at the back chatting away. They were more interested back there than serving the customer. We had to call out for them in order to have our order taken after waiting more than half an hour. The waitress did apologies after our complaint, she thought our order had been taken. Well… if they had been attentive with the customers instead of spending time at the back end they would have realised. We had free-flow drinks, same thing, serving staffs were at the back and not attentive, we had to wait and see if there’s anyone around to ask for our drink to be refilled. This was not how I remembered this place to be. I’m a freelance mystery shopper, they are lucky I was not there to evaluate their service. By the way, the food was good as usual. It’s a shame that the service was not up...

I had the misfortune of having dinner in fosters Hollywood this evening with my family, if i could give the restaurant a zero for value for money I would, the women's toilet was very dirty , the portion size for the fries was less then you would get in a small fries in mc donalds , the soft drinks were flat , I got the xxl ribs 30 % fat and grizzly , my children food came 10 minutes before mine which ment we did not eat together, it was about 7pm we were the only people in the place (that should have told me something ) we all ordered main courses so why the rush , I have over 20 years experience working in Ireland in the bar and restaurant industry and was shocked at the food and prices 70 euro for possibly the worst meal i have had in years , Avoid...

Hola, este sábado (24/02/24) noche estuvimos cenando en el local de las Gavarres y creo que, a pesar de que la comida no estuvo mal, no volveremos a pisar un Foster's Hollywood. Llegamos al local sobre las 20,30h y no había apenas gente en su interior. Para pedir cuando teníamos alguna duda con el menú o las promociones los camareros no estaban formados y no te sabían contestar...y tenían que llamar a otra camarera...Esta nos tomó nota...Estuvimos esperando muchisimo tiempo....De hecho nos daban ganas de irnos....Y dos mesas de alrededor nuestro se fueron porque mesas posteriores que llegaron las sirvieron antes......De dos entrantes que pedimos uno llegó muy rápido el otro que era un guacamole que tenían que hacértelo en la mesa no lo trajeron. Trajeron un plato principal y al reclamar el guacamole te dicen que es que lo.estan preparando.....todavía??? Les dijimos que no hacía falta. Un ensalada que tb pedimos nos la retiraron dos veces de la mesa, una vez poque no era esa ensalada ( y ya habiamos empezado a comerla) y la otra vez porque estaba incompleta...Los camareros no saben ni el nombre de las hamburguesas. Tienen que llevarlas a la mesa y no saben lo que llevan...Pedimos postres y nos dicen que los estaban preparando cuando ni los habíamos pedido. Y alguna cosilla más...que ya no cuento por alargarme demasiado. El chico que parece encargado, sin palabras....Se nota que no está formado ni tiene idea. Muy mal esta franquicia creo que debería formar y vigilar el servicio que se presta. Tengo que decir que la comida estaba buena. Pero la experiencia fue MUY PÉSIMA, ya que se nos atragantó la cena con tanta incidencia....La promoción que llevavamos que nos dijeron que se aplicaba a todos los comenales solo se aplicó a un solo...
