La Escalera Torremolinos — Restaurant in Torremolinos

Yesterday november 9th we where in La Escalera. We where very positive surprised that we got a table on the window, so we had a nice view on the stairs beneed the restautant. We have orded the fish and me the mixed grill, the food was very tasty and also more then enough for us. Also the rose whine was very good. There was a nice atmosphere and we could eat on our time, so it was not in a hurry, so very good, the food cames on time. Also the dishes where not expensive. Probably the most disappointing meal in a restaurant I've had in almost 50 years, which was a shame as it is nice inside with lovely views. Plate of unseasoned steamed vegetables with 'baked' (microwaved) potato, a bland chicken breast with a "mushroom" sauce of basically boiled cream with half a sliced mushroom in. Like a school dinner from the 80s but with slightly less cookery skills. Dreadful (and not cheap!).
