I know the family owners for over eight years (2014). So, I'm really "At Home" there.
The Chef is extraordinary. He once owned a one star Michelin in Belgium. Superb fish preparations. Claude (the Chef) worked for years in of the best fish restaurant in Brussels (l'Écailler du Palais-Royal, 2* Michelin; 2 Toques in Gault-Millau)
They served a daily menu for lunch (with some bread, a mixed salad, a starter, a main meal, a desert or a coffee and a drink included for 9,50€.
Each weekend there is a "all you can eat" dish. For a decent budget (from 14 to 18€).
The gastronomic menu changes every four weeks: tapas to start, one or two great starters (go for a fish prep, you won't be disappointed), main dish and a dessert. And a "Trou normand in between if you choose the 5-dishes option).
Fairly decent wine list. At affordable prices.
On a regular basis (once or twice a week) , there is a special menu with a show. For the ones who love football (it is my case), you can watch games from the Spanish Liga, Premier or Belgian League games.
The personnel is very friendly. Just have a try. You'll come back.
Read moreUnfortunately we had a bad experience there tonight. My husband and I, we had the normal menus. The starters were ok, although we had to wait long time. My husband chose fish and I chose duck breast as main course. We both had vegetable with the main course which was cold and the fish as well was cold!!! So my husband complained about the fish. They obviously put it into the microwave. Afterwards it didn't look very well any more. They just said "sorry" but no serious efforts to satisfy us. That was the reason why we decided to pay and to leave the restaurant. We surely won't visit that...
Read moreThe food here is top notch. We were in the bar area and decided to have something to eat. The lady said to go through to the other room and we were amazed. We went back 4 nights out of 7 it was so good. Good enough to be Michelin rated . Reasonable prices as well and good beer. This place is a 'must do' when...
