We come from the Netherlands and we have lunched at "El Mercat" in Valencia. We were served by a very funny guy with a lot of humor. Hé talked us in a nice way on a table for two and we ordered a dry white wine, a bottle of water and some bread with garlic tomato and butter and secondly paella. The funny ober advised us the mjam mjam paella and it was delicious. We ordered another glass of dry white wine and we finished with a cup of espresso coffee. All the time the mjam mjam guy showed his talent for humor and was very hard working. During our lunchtime there were severe people making music and asked afterwards for some coins. We liked it very much and the price was reasonable ! We would recommand this place in Valencia to enjoy your lunch and also enjoy the very nice way of working from the mjam mjam chicken...
Read moreWOULDN’T RECOMMEND TO EAT HERE !!! If you don’t want to lose your money, time and have a terrible meal ! we had to wait over 1 hour for two dishes and were extremely disappointed, the worst food i have ever eaten in my life,i was so excited to eat paella,i think they will use freshest seafood possible because in front of them is a great seafood market. But I made a big mistake, I almost wanted to vomit when I ate the fish in the paella because it was very rancid, the 2 shrimps were also rancid, the starter in the menu was deep fried pork belly, but when they gave It turned out to be the worst quality bacon. Read moreThis restaurant is located in front of the beautiful building of the Mercado central, the atmosphere is simply beautiful. The food is delicious, the fish is very fresh and the taste is very authentic! Seafood, paella and sangria are really good. And it's not over, the prices are also lower than the average!! Special mention goes to the waiter who does his job with passion, he's a very funny guy and he knows how to put you at ease. Some buskers will also play music in the nearby square and so also music is provided. In conclusion this is a restaurant more than competitive and it sure puts in shame most of the other restaurants in the center who offer you food of less quality for more money. I would (and...
