Esquinita Mía – Saved the Best for Last

We found Esquinita Mía on our first day in Valencia—drawn in by the music, the mellow corner vibe, and a host, Fernando, with the kind of cheeky charm you’d expect from a cousin at a wedding. We knew we’d be back.

And on our last day, we returned like seasoned regulars. The entraña he recommended? Absolutely divine. Charred just right, tender as a secret, and paired with wine that made us feel like we’d made excellent life choices. The whole place hums with good energy—chilled tunes, relaxed pace, and a host who could easily moonlight as a stand-up comic or a matchmaker for food and wine.

It’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’ve found your corner of the world. We did. Twice.

On our lovely holiday in beautiful Valencia, we had the chance to dine at Esquinta Mia, and what a wonderful experience it was. Tapas from Argentine cuisine, delicious empanadas, my favorite padrón peppers, and the superb Familiar Gascon Ruble wine made the afternoon unforgettable.
