Overall good but still disappointed after having had somewhat higher expectations from a mention in the guide Michelin.
The food was good but not great. Starters were definitely nothing special and the main (goat leg) was very tender and cooked well but lacked seasoning and salt, and the sides were very bleak unfortunately.
The chocolate desert was good but could have done well with something more to add texture and also perhaps some acidic flavors. Now the chocolate just became a bit too heavy.
On the service I was also a bit disappointed. First we asked for some advice on the wine list together with the selection of mains for the table and asked for any recommendations on the Ribera del Dueros. I first got kind of a snarky comment that I did not have that page open in the wine list (as if I could not read). Then the sommelier asked (the very reasonable question) our budget. Said we would like a recommendation under €50 per bottle and then he still proceeded in recommending a bottle at €59 as if not listening.
Finally they had not asked for the desert selection for the table and starting bringing in same for all. I stopped and said some of us wanted the (at additional cost for us) chocolate alternative and was told at first it was not possible. I then simply sent back the ones we did not want since we had not ordered them and ask for new chocolate ones.
Overall not as good as I would have hoped for a mention in the guide. Still an ok value for money starting at ~€30 for 2 starters to share...
Read moreOverall the food was great, some final touches were missing that would have made it a 5 star compared to a 4. However the service was very disappointing as this restaurant has been highlighted by the Michelin Guide.
Before making the reservation I was in contact with the restaurant asking them what menus would be available on the selected date since it was during the holiday. I informed them it was for my brother’s 30th birthday and that we were looking for a set menu. The restaurant gave me the answer that the menus that would be available at that selected date is published on the website already. I questioned this in an returning email but got an answer back that I could find the menus on the website.
Today, when we came to the restaurant only one out of the 2 menus were available and the one that was on the website differed to much from the online version. That the dishes can change is totally understandable, however that the whole concept differ in this type of restaurant is not okay (you only had one option for a main course included compared to 4, for the other ones you had to pay extra which ranged between 9-45 €. This was very annoying and disappointing especially as I reached out before hand to ensure my brother got a nice birthday dinner. Now we did not have the option of a longer set menus with a wine pairing…

Read moreAs we were over from the UK we treated our host to the tasting menu with wine pairing, 4 of us. The food is good (not excellent) and well-executed but they have a lot to learn when it comes to service and lack the finesse of a decent restaurant
Not serving ladies first, pouring the wine without finesse, without showing the label. Almost slamming plates on the table, the list is long.
The dessert on the tasting menu was made of pumpkin purée and chocolate (and other ingredients), sadly the chocolate was missing which made the whole dessert taste like a starter as the chocolate was the key ingredient.
We told the waiter who after a few explanation, angrily decided to bring the plastic piping bag to our table and angrily pipe chocolate on our plate rather than apologise, take our plates to the kitchen and add the chocolate there.
A very poor and unprofessional reaction for what we thought was a decent restaurant!
Entrevins doesn't have a Michelin star and based on this poor service and attitude it looks like they are still far away from...
