La Salvaora — Restaurant in Valencia

Excellent food. Truly delicious. And a lovely menu. Our starters and mains were all wonderful. Unfortunately the service lets the kitchen down a lot. We had a cheery enough greeting but were then more or less ignored except some very curt interactions to order, then bring our food. The food was put down without comment or a smile. And there was a good 50 minute gap between the starter plates being taken away and mains arriving. This happens in a busy kitchen. But there was no smile, no explanation, no apology and it was a real battle to order some more wine (waiters are experts in averting your gaze). We also got charged for bread that never arrived. Not worth complaining about to them as by the time the bill came we were craving freedom. So: great food. But buckle in for the long haul and maybe bring some cards (and wine?) to...

Visited this restaurant based on reviews from others and I must say we are glad we did . The food was delicious, fresh and exciting . The attention to detail on the menu will keep most happy . It really was an experience worth sharing to you all . Definitely go … the fixed menu was unbelievably fantastic and the price was truly even more surprising!!! But the A La Carte looked fabulous too . The suggestion on the wine was spot on (local Prosecco ) . The team are friendly and knowledgeable and provide an atmosphere that you feel comfortable in . Overall the dining experience matched that of a restaurant in London that would cost 3/4 times the price to experience all of what we did . Definitely recommend. Good food and service, at least when I went personally, and I did several times. The latest experiences date back to 2020, 2021, and 2022. The only negative note is that prices have increased quite a bit compared to the pre-pandemic period, but this, unfortunately, is a situation that affects the entire catering sector and also large-scale retail trade throughout Europe.
