Extremely pretentious place , « posh wanna be », but cannot even provide a decent service. That blond girl « Raquel » I don’t know if she is the manager (she was at the reception) .She had the most bitter attitude. We originally booked for a table of 9 for my birthday 2kids included , (cause yes ,they count as persons). Unfortunately 2 of my friends couldn’t make it. From the moment they realised that there was 2 people missing and that 2 are kids , they became the worst staff ever. The server was present 30% of the time , we couldn’t barely order drinks cause this « posh » place didn’t have 50% of their drinks « menu ». It is also not possible to order cocktails (a Thursday evening ?) So we ordered Spirits/mixers, I asked to have it with pineapple juice , guess what ? They don’t have no juices 😂 , (well I was not picky , I asked to have my drink with Coca-Cola) , the server comes back with another bottle cause the one I ordered is out of stock .. how embarrassing for this « posh » restaurant. Ok … not picky I said that’s fine. She attempts to pour the liquids into my glass and guess what ? Nothing comes out.. the server went to take a new bottle again … We waited for the rest of the party to arrive and order some starters , no salt.. We asked for salt, had to wait to almost finish our plates to get some salt (in take away sachets)... « posh restaurant » the server kept asking if the other ppl will be coming and started being agressive , we told her that they are not coming and felt extremely uncomfortable. That girl « Raquel » Came to collect the plates with the most attitude , and start saying that we booked a table for 9 and that’s not normal that we are less than that. BTW there was plenty of space in the « restaurant » , she treated us like less than herself ,it was crazy! We decided to not continue with this nonsense and left this place , we continued our meal somewhere else. Ended up to a real restaurant called « EL INFANTA » and experienced something that you called « nice service, good vibes , real people, not pretentious, and good food » LIA, made my birthday truly memorable, but unfortunately not for the...
Read moreGood food, arrogant owners.
A lot of good reviews and recommendations. But what an arrogance of the owners. Sad, depression attitude. No nice introduction, no warm welcome.
Food was fine but the overall vibe was off. The blond woman (I think one of the owners) who wasn't wearing staff clothing was the most depressing person... She came to our table and brought the starter. No word was said, no smile, nothing... And just walked away. If you don't want to work then please go home?
There was another waiter, in staff clothing who kind of compensated with nice, and kind behavior. I think he felt really awkward for the bad behavior of the owners... I feel bad for him working there.
We didn't see any of the 'atmosphere' since we were seated in a corner I front of the waiting desk.
As tourist from the Netherlands I rate you for an overall experience, not solely your food. Thus I would not recommend this place.
There are a lot of other, hard working restaurant owners who serve you food that as good with a better attitude. Just don't go here despite of the 'good' reviews. Check the other reviews, there are more complaints about...
Read moreOof, do not eat here :/ We went to LIA a few years ago and had a great meal and amazing service and sadly since then it has gotten terrible.
First off, our waitress was beyond pushy. She came up to our table every two minutes to push another dish or drink on us- we literally could not have a conversation because she was constantly coming over to ask us to order more (we just wanted to spread out our meals and not eat and leave in 20 minutes.) At one point I was talking to my husband about wine and pregnancy and she came up and asked if I want wine since I mentioned it. I mean so aggressive and ruined our night and experience! And we ate and left within 40 minutes because she kept pushing us out of there (and the restaurant was pretty empty.)
Food wise, super disappointing. The ravioli was completely undercooked (it was so hard and chewy) and the rest was meh.
Also, the lighting really needs to be turned down…so bright and not welcoming. But that is whatever I guess.
Overall just really disappointing - if you’re in town for only a few days do not waste a meal on this when there are SO many good restaurants...
