A Culinary Journey to Peru at Musuq
If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience that transports you straight to the heart of Peru, look no further than Musuq. From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the vibrant flavors of the dishes that await you.
The menu at Musuq is a delightful exploration of traditional Peruvian cuisine, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of the region. Each dish is crafted with care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients that highlight the unique flavors of Peru. The ceviche is a must-try; it’s refreshingly zesty and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice. The presentation is stunning, making it almost too beautiful to eat—almost!
For those looking to indulge in heartier fare, the lomo saltado is a standout. The tender strips of beef are marinated to perfection and stir-fried with onions and tomatoes, served alongside fluffy rice and crispy fries. It’s a comforting dish that embodies the essence of home-cooked Peruvian meals.
The drink selection is equally impressive, featuring a variety of traditional Peruvian beverages. Don’t miss the chance to try a pisco sour; it’s the perfect blend of tangy and sweet, and a true representation of Peruvian culture.
The service at Musuq is exceptional. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They are more than happy to guide you through the menu and recommend dishes based on your preferences.
Whether you’re a seasoned fan of Peruvian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Musuq offers an experience that is both delightful and memorable. It’s not just a meal; it’s a celebration of flavors, culture, and hospitality. I can’t recommend it highly enough—Musuq is a gem that deserves a spot on your must-visit...
Read moreWe went for our marriage anniversary lunch, so we splurged.
The owners were very warm and welcoming.
The decor of the restaurant is very cozy and tasteful.
We ordered 1 appetizer each, which was delicious but unnecessary. The portions of the appetizers are very generous and would be enough for 2-4 people to share.
They had a good selection of wine and we loved our white wine chardonnay blend. The bottle was 16 euros, which was more expensive than the other wines they had available.
The main courses were exactly what we were looking for in terms of an "experience". The food profile was different than what we've been eating in Valencia, but "different good" , instead of "different weird".
We left totally satiated and didn't even need to eat dinner.
We will return.
We spent 90 euros on our meal, but that's because we went all out for our anniversary. A normal meal for two people without appetizers and a whole bottle would probably be closer to 40-50 euros.
If you really just want to try Peruvian food on a budget, I recommend going and sharing an appetizer with a friend. Their appetizers are like 2 meals based on Spain restaurant...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I heard about this restaurant from another Peruvian located in Valencia. We arrived 22:15 and the kitchen was closed 22:00, but they were so kind to let us dine when they were already closing. We ordered pisco, ceviche, lomo saltado, ocopa and finished with Lucuma ice cream. Guys, we have literally never experienced these flavours before, it was insanely good!
Thanks to the two owners of the restaurant who let us in when they were already closing and taking the time to tell us about the ingredients they are using for their dishes and also where themselves come from. We felt very welcome at their restaurant.
I would highly recommend this place and will definitely go...
