Neco Buffet Mediterráneo — Restaurant in Valencia

Visited Neco's with three Spanish friends. It's a

Pro's:

1. The prices - we paid €10,20 each on Tuesday but the shock was the price of the drinks - €7,50 for a bottle of wine! Fantastic prices for a buffet. Coke was €1,70.
2. The location, prominent next to awl Corte Ingles in the Plaza of Goya.
3. It was empty at 22h, usually the time Spanish people eat. I did feel a bit guilty though, should've been busier.
4. The furnishings were high standard.
5. The cleanliness was spotless, very very clean plates, clean food area, etc.
6. The salads was fresh and the tomatoes red and ripe (most if not all buffets I go to in Madrid have cheap salad foods and unripened almost inedible green tomatoes so this was a big plus for me!).
7. The service was very friendly, they cleared plates promptly and they were not overbearing or annoying. Great staff who clearly care about the restaurant.
8. Great dessert selection!

Con's:

1. The hot food such as the pizza and fries had gone a little cold.
2. None of the food was labelled so if you are a foreigner like me, you have to guess what you are eating for everything that isn't obvious! Please label the foods!
3. The food quality was ok, not bad but not brilliant.
4. The food selection was limited compared to other all you can eat buffets I have visited in Madrid.

My friends & I decided it was a 3 due to the food and having a better food experience in Wok Shanghai BUT I really like this place and it deserves to be busier so I'm going to give it a 4. Maybe the food selection is better at...

If a restaurant is full of locals downtown, you always know its good there! Same for Neco's! You pay 10.50€ for a buffet of local dishes like : Pealla, Gazpacho, Meat, Fish, Salad, Fruits and a ton of desserts as well! From ice cream over yoghurt or tarte! The waiter are really friendly, the prices for the drinks are surprisingly low and everything is fresh and nothing overcooked or really unhealthy. You might have to wait some minutes until a table is free, especially when you are more than 2 people but it's definitely worth it. Because of we are speaking spanish I can't tell how good you can communicate with the staff in English but they were pretty young so I bet it won't be a problem. We will definitely come back because the city is full of expensive restaurants for tourist who want to charge 12€ for...

This is a all-you-can-eat buffet. The price as of August 2024 is 13.25 EUR on weekdays. Drinks are not included and can be purchased separately (nobody minds if you do not order them). You don't have to spend your time waiting. You can take food from the buffet as soon as you enter it, and for payment you don't have to wait longer than a minute, too (there are 2 points where you can pay upon exit). Nobody rushes you if you decide to stay longer, too. The offered dishes have salads, vegetables, protein such as chicken/pork/fish. There are also unlimited desserts available, which include pineapples, baked apples, various muffins and cakes, etc.
