Had an incredibly disappointing group dinner here. While our drinks were served promptly, it took quite a while (20-30 minutes) for our appetisers to arrive, and even then, only 2 out of 3 were given to us. After another 20 minutes, the third was given to us. The Caesar salad was fine, the bread with aoli and tomato was ok at best. Once our mains eventually started being served, it became clear the standard was sub-par. 2 were completely cold, a third had chips that were absolutely drowning in oil, and the paella was overcooked and tasteless. When we complained, it was obvious the staff were aware of the atrocious quality of the food that we had been served. After offering to pay for the drinks but nothing else, no one came back so we left without paying for a thing and ended up at Burger King, the only option left at that point as it was after 11pm. It’s important to note that at least 2 other tables around us also sent food back. Would not recommend. EDIT TO ADD CLARIFICATION TO RESTAURANTS RESPONSE: We waited 5-10 minutes after complaining about things and no one came back to speak to us. One of our party even went and spoke to someone again about paying for at least the drinks but was were told ‘don’t worry about it. There was nothing to boast about in terms of leaving without paying, there couldn’t possibly have been an expectation for us to pay for our substandard meal given how...
Read moreDreadful food. Dreadful service.
First course arrived in fits and starts with one plate at a time. It took 20 minutes for 3 plates to be brought to the table and 2 of the plates should have been identical.
2 main courses arrived semi frozen. Lasagne was icy, beef cheeks cold. The 2 Paella dishes were both inedible and wholly inauthentic. Soy sauce does not belong in paella. Seafood was undercooked for one piece and overcooked for the other. Bread with tomatoes was served with ketchup. Chips were swimming in cooking oil over the plate.
The only positive is that the experience was so bad we were all laughing.
Do not go.
Edit in response to the accusation that we “decided to leave without paying”.
The waitress and manager, when we discussed the issues initially said they would deduct the food that we had received and not eaten from the bill. When approached to pay for the drinks we were apologised to and told “don’t worry. It’s ok”. We didn’t dash. We spoke with...
