First time there and going to be the last. We dined in here, but the whole experience reminded me of a very fancy carry-out. Walked in at 8 o’clock, which of course in Spain is the beginning of the dinner hour, and so it was completely empty. We were the only diners there. The waiter sat us at a table and ignored us. Keep in mind, this is the only table he was waiting on.
Finally, he came around and asked us if we had placed our order yet. We had just discovered the tiny QR code on the table, which was the menu, and put two and two together to figure out that we had to order it off of the QR code. No explanation or recommendations. The menu descriptions were not descriptive at all, just the title of each dish. As the first time visitor, it would’ve been nice to have an idea what a typical order was like and he could’ve described that had he cared. The flavor of the food was nondescript. The atmosphere was very nice, nice and formal setting. I expected a lot more given the formal setting.
By the way, the tip was included in the final price so beware not to leave a separate tip. It was 10% and that’s more than I would’ve left him had I...
Read moreWe visited this place when it was nearly empty (20:30 on a Wednesday). Even though it wasn’t busy, no explanation was given about how the ordering process works. Luckily, I had read in other reviews that orders needed to be placed via a QR code, but this wasn’t communicated to us at all.
The bao buns were delicious, we tried the fried shrimp and the duck. The ramen was okay (my first time trying ramen). However, it was a bit disappointing that the crispy fried shrimp in the ramen arrived soggy. This might always be the case, but I’m not sure.
Service was minimal and could definitely be improved. I’d also recommend ordering your next dish via the QR code only when you’re ready for it, otherwise, you might receive it too early or...
Read moreThis is about the best place for Asian food in my opinion. The dim sum is fresh although I would prefer they not put sauce on them, I prefer to put my own. The bao’s are fantastic(wish the shrimp wasn’t deep fried). We didn’t try the ramen but we will be back because the dim sum was excellent.
It’s not in the heart of the city, I found this place because I had to go to 9 de Octubre hospital. You can get on bus 92 or there’s a metro stop close by. There’s no outdoor seating. Service was excellent.
Definitely going back there even though it’s far from Malvarosa! ...
