This place is truly awful. The service is rude , aggressive and I would say in a work place would be deemed bullying. There is one waitress in particular but the team is run like a gang. If you look at reviews it seems this is mentioned many times.
Thank you for your response it is clear that the waitress is working in an environment in which bullying is permitted. Your response shows a callous disregard for a serious issue. Unfortunately you have upset the wrong lady. I have four apartments within 40 meters of your bar. I have spent my life working for organisation fighting this sort of behaviour in emerging countries. Please take a screen shot and in 12 months time let’s see if you reassess your bullying with impunity strategy. Enjoy.
‘Since you live so close’ so if I didn’t have the apartments within 40 meters of your bar you would have thought you could bully with impunity. I have seen mini cultures like yours before and it only when you are held to account that your bullying stops. I suspect we could meet it would stop with me and my family but continue with everyone . In particular the waitress who is notorious for using her position in an extremely aggressive and frankly damaging way. As said take a screen shot and let’s see in 12 months how you feel about your responses to genuine complaints and your bullying instinct.
I have just read you response to the complaining post below and there you go again being abusive to another post. You know there are laws regarding abuse and mental anguish for all citizens. However as you have a license to sell alcohol and run a restaurant you have a duty of care and professionalism that is expected by both the community of Valencia and Spain. You absolutely do it have the right to humiliate and abuse or bully clients because they happen to enter your premises for an unwritten contract of product and service which includes being treated with respect and dignity.
Thankfully you are immature enough to have spent years consolidating the evidence against you on the internet. Continually bully clients, in writing, who may well feel a sense of mental anguish. I will share this with a local and national lawyer to see if you are indeed worthy of receiving renewal of...
Read moreA very cozy and nice café with a great atmosphere. We came there once before and loved the concept of book store and café, the food, the vibe and really wanted to bring our 6 y.o. daughter there as she loves the books. What happened is that when our daughter got the book she was interested in and sat down at the stairs (not at the table as there're signs not to take the books when you sit at the table, which a bit weird though I can understand what was meant by it). So 2 mins after our daughter picked up the book we were approached by waitress who said our daughter couldn't read the books because those were for sale not for reading... Our daughter doesn't read fast and usually checks the pictures. And, of course, she got very upset and as parents we weren't able to explain why she can't check out the books...
A bookstore where you can't look into the books and just supposed to buy without checking and reading?... Wow... I went to check up with the barman who was nice and willing to discuss it (unlike the waitress who, at our side, still tried to prove what she did was correct and that our daugher "was reading the book" (what a crime!!!)) and we agreed that our daughter could check the books. And you know, we bought one book she liked.
The concept is great but the execution of it seems to be wrong! Rules not to take the books when you sit at the table are weird (should I only stand and check?). Why not to write "Please handle the books with care" and "Consider buying if you really like the book".
Horrible experience for the kid and the parents. At it seems we're not the only ones confused about the rules as it was the same for the mother and two older kids next to us. She bought one book as well...
Read moreMonday was great. Tuesday, about 8 loud ignorants sat at a table inside, transforming the library/Cafe into a stadium. I guess all the books on the walls were not a good enough indication of what kind of place this is supposed to be. But the worst part is that the waiters had no problem with it, even after I told them. It ruined our stay there. This is a city with thousands of bars and cafés for everyone's tastes, quiet or loud. But I ask too much for common sense.
EDIT: by the looks of the owner's response, they do not understand their own business model and how they present / market their cafe. Normal people with common sense understand the fact that you don't go to a place that looks and feels like a LIBRARY (so a QUIET place) and behave like you are in a football bar. But again, ignorance breeds ignorance. Owner's response demonstrates it.
DO NOT WORRY, I will never set foot in that...
