Vinorte Wine Bar — Restaurant in Valencia

Unfortunately, we were treated extremely unfriendly and from above. More than an hour before closing time, we took a seat in the garden. After we hadn't been noticed for a while, we got a menu from the restaurant ourselves. When the waitress then registered us in the restaurant, we were reprimanded like little children and asked who had given us the menu. We told her in a friendly manner that we had picked it up ourselves to see what we wanted to drink, she said from above: aha, so like at home? Then she took the menu away from us and told us she couldn't serve us anything. Then she disappeared into the restaurant. After a shocked 5 minutes that we were still sitting there, she came back to tell us that they were closing in 1.5 hours and that she could only sell us wine by the bottle. Certainly not glass by glass. We have never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome as in this place. The attitude was really subterranean, considering how expensive...

A wonderful intimate wine bar with top quality food - very agreeable ambiance, with excellent service from the owners.

We've been there several times, and been impressed by the interesting selection of wines (owners are from Galicia, and have some wines I haven't seen anywhere else).

There is a good selection of quality wines by the glass, and a very extensive selection of wines by the bottle - far larger than you'd expect from the size of the bar!

The food complements the wine perfectly, and the preparations are very nicely presented.

This place deserves more then 5 stars. The first time we came here it was almost closing time, and still welcomed us with no hesitation. The very polite people helped us choosing the wines, and they choose right! They informed us politely about the closing time and even that was extended by almost an hour. After leaving the first thing we said tomorrow we will go back, and so it happend. And again a very warm welcome with the same service. The food is delicious, even have specialties of the day and the woman in the kitchen couldn't do better. The relaxed atmosphere is great and very suiting....
