We arrived at 9pm with no reservation and they got a nice table at the front for us. Fish was reasonably good, the veg was a bit plain/boring though, the canarian potatoes weren't the best - they werent as salty as other places (but arguably this might be a good thing), service was good but not as a high standard as other local restaurants, In general its a fine place to eat but the other places we have eaten in so far were really good so I wouldn't be rushing to come back again. The restaurant did seem to have problems with marking things on menu that were not vegetarian (as vegetarian), also some items on menu were not marked as vegetarian when I am sure they would be. The waiter did give us two honey rums on the house at the end which was appreciated. If we checked the reviews before coming in we would have ended up at casa de roja next door where the food and service is definately a higher standard.

My best experience in Lanzarote. We came to Lanzarote for 2 weeks holidays and we went for dinner 2 times in a week in this lovely restaurant. The food was always great : fresh and delicious. Just enough choice. I recommand the grilled octopuss, the fish of the day as well as the tuna tataki. The grilled calamar is great as well. Dont forget to try the bread and butter with a local specialty ... surprise ! And the dessert of the chef is an amazing experience. On top of that a warmful atmosphere very welcoming and the best view on the marina and its incredible sunset. Thanks to the team. We came with a young kid and a baby so suitable for families. Would also recommend to go there for a romantic sunset dinner.

Absolutely amazing! As typical brits, we thought we could just rock up on xmas eve and get a sit down meal. Several restaurants turned us away as we hadn't booked. These guys accommodated straight away, getting a table from outside and putting it together with 1 inside. The food was equally amazing, kids had pizza, my wife had fish and I had the biggest piece of steak I've ever laid my eyes on. The tomahawk steak. Delicious! Cannot think what the others a bad mouthing this place. We went back just for snacks and a drink on xmas day, again despite being really busy, got us straight in. Super service.

TERRIBLE SERVICE, don’t go! We stopped in here for one Drink for my Father who needed to get out of the sun and find a comfy seat to rest as he is currently not in good health. We chose to sit inside in the quieter area. Not one waiter came over, so I went to the bar to check if maybe we needed to order there, the bar man was very abrupt and simply said “Table service” and that was all. So I went back to sit down, 15min passed and still no waiter as they were all running about with the customers out side. So I went to find a waiter and he said he will be over in a minute, which he never did, so I found another waiter and explained that we had been waiting for 25min and no one had come, so would he be able to come and he said NO. We are too busy with the customers outside so I don’t know when we will be able to take your Order. I couldn’t believe the blatant lack of care and terrible service....

Now called Cafe del Bistro, but I can't find it to review on Google

Anyway, DON'T EAT HERE!

It started well, some of the starters were good. Then it all went down hill.

Tasteless (I mean bland gloopy over cooked tasteless) Carbonara. Overcooked chicken, and a burger that would cut your mouth to shreds, and pizzas described as ok.

So at this point we're saying 2 or 3 stars.

Then we complained. The first guy seemed like maybe he didn't understand, and laughed. Then he offered us desert.

Then the next guy said "thank you", he was then asked "do you understand, the food was terrible, bad, awful, inedible", the response, "yes, thank you". They could not have been less interested.

It's the first time in years we have not left a tip.

They are clearly aiming for tourists that won't come back, not interested in people...
