Primario Gastrobar — Restaurant in Yaiza

So we ate at Primario Saturday night and it was really very very good. We had 1 special (croquetas) and the tomato salad with smoked salmon and the salpicón. We are not giant eaters. The atmosphere was lovely as well. It was so good that we decided to go back again Sunday evening. We had the same server and she acted like she’d never seen us before. Ok, fine she sees so many people. I placed my order. Again 1 special (the pickled wahoo), another different salad with tomato and the tofu. The food took a long time, not a problem. When it came out we were only served two dishes. We waited and finally I asked the waitress if our other dish was coming, to which she replied “you did not order another dish, just like last night.” I replied “yes, I did it was the special and last night we also had 3 dishes.” She said “no you did not” and walked away. This literally was the rudest service we have had. And it was not like it was slammed busy. So disappointing. We liked it so much we went back. And now we wish we had not. All because of one...

Our friends recommended this restaurant to us and they were so right, everything about it is excellent, I cannot wait to go back. We had the shrimps and tomatoes as starters and both were very well presented and tasted excellent. The portions were very generous and the shrimps in particular were full of flavour. For mains we had the fish with mash which was delicious. The fish was very meaty, boneless and very fresh. The mash had spinach through it and worked well with the fish and the veloutte type sauce. We also had the burger which I would not normally go for in this sort of place, but the person who had it and lived on the island said it was the best he had, so definitely worth a try. Leave room for desert, we had the pumpkin cake, superb, and I had the cheesecake, which I would go back for on its own, no base, very light and a delicate flavour. Booked a table on 16 sept/25 had a starter Which wasn’t very good,then ordered T bone steak for two because they had no fish for my wife. It came up purple and we asked for medium, they asked if ok and we said it was tough and under cooked but they left and did nothing about it. My wife could not eat any I struggled to eat, wife just eat the small side with it. We didn’t have a pudding because of the lack of service. Ask for the bill it was 106 euros we asked if they could take some of But they were very rude and said they would get the police and said you English should go back home and eat your chicken and chips So as they were very rude we just paid it with a big service charge for hardly any food.
