Pizza looked like vomit! I don’t understand what everybody is so happy about. It was the worst experience ever. €12 for a simple salad that consisted of 1 egg, 2 cherry tomatoes and 1 slice of ham. €6 for a small glass of wine. And then the pizza. It was slushy mushy undercooked and un appetitive. I ordered it spicey but it was not spicey at all. Their comment was that children should also be able to eat it??. When we complained about the food they did not even listen to it. They where more occupied with themselves than anything else. I ordered something else but it never arrived. No apologies, they just said that we never ordered anything. But they still wanted to charge us for the pizza we returned. They did not realise that we understand italian so they looked shocked when we told them that we understood how they where insulting us amongst each other. My recommendation would be Casale Franco. Better prices, much much better food and way...
Read moreGood high quality pizza. I would recommend to visit this pizzeria if you are in the area. We visit all the good pizzerias across the world and even though it is for sure above average place, it doesn’t meet the standards we are looking for in 5* places. The toppings on pizza were good but the dough was a bit dry and not as fluffy as expected in napolitan pizza. The middle could be more liquidy.
Good selection of Italian drinks.
The waitress was very nice and welcoming. The place is small and there is only one person to take care of the customers, the waiting time for food is quite long. Bathroom is outside the restaurant.
I understand that there are a lot of German tourists and the local places try to accomodate them for business reasons… but assuming everyone is German is not polite. Unlike many tourists, we actually like Spain and the local culture, and we can speak Spanish. Maybe other tourists could consider that as well, at least...
Read moreI don’t normally do reviews but I have to say that this restaurant is cosy and is one of the first you come to from the Papagyo direction. It was a cool evening so it was nice to get into the cosy warm atmosphere which was great. The staff were really helpful and we had a nice table. BUT unfortunately the pizza was definitely not the best. Italian pizzas are supposed to be crisp with toasted bubbles around the edge and this was not. It was very doughy and moist in the middle. You could not pick up a slice as it just drooped and you had to fold it over to have a bite! This was a massive disappointment as I had read such great reviews. I am not a regular pizza eater but I have had some really lovely crisp pizzas eg Endless Summer in Praia de Luz Portugal- amazing so light and crisp. This did not do it for me. Maybe a bad night I don’t know but give it a go as it is a family business I think and they deserve a...
