Wasn't great. We ordered the special - a mixed grill with beef and pork steaks, black pudding, sausage and chicken breast which was €40 to share between two. Let's start with the good - the black pudding was delicious, might be some of the best I've had. Chicken and sausage was fairly tasty but nothing to rave about.

However, the beef steaks were so chewy and dry they were borderline inedible. The "fries" were pale chunks of fried potato and the pork steaks were just a bit bland. I'd only recommend this place if you're in the mood for a huge amount of meat (you do get a lot) but ultimately it is just meat and potatoes, and is very much a case of quantity over quality.

It is possible that you get lower quality steaks as part of the mixed grill and their other steak options are fine, so I can't speak for the other dishes on the menu, but after spending over €50 and coming away disappointed I don't think I'll be coming back to try them.

We did have a lovely view of the marina at sunset, so I'd give an extra half star for that if I could.

TLDR; Food is fairly average, especially...

We had mushrooms and prawns in oil to start and garlic bread which were disappointing. For mains we had the house special mixed grill which itself was tasty and plentiful. When ordering the same, we were given the option of salad or vegetables with it and also which sauce we would like. When the bill arrived (in Spanish) we had been charged an extra €8.50 for the vegetables (which comprised half a carrot, a shallot, two slices of pepper and a slice of courgette) and a further €2 for the sauce (which was watery and unpleasant). We were not advised of these extra costs when we were ordering, with the impression given that they were included as part of the mixed grill, and the bill left us feeling ripped off and annoyed at the end of our meal. I can see from other reviews that others have experienced this deceitful practice, which spoilt what otherwise would have been a nice meal in...

We had our anniversary meal here and we are so glad we did. The staff put some confetti on our table and surprised us with a little balloon to help make our visit extra special. We did have a bit of bother trying to get a taxi so we were late getting there but even although we were late we had one of the loveliest evenings of food.

The food was excellent, lovely starters and perfectly grilled steaks and salad for main, service was attentive and always with a smile.

You can tell this restaurant is loved and cared for by the family as the walls were adorned with Argentine trinkets, photos and memorabilia, the family being from Buenos Aires. This gives it a homely feel and it stands out because of that.

If you are looking for a lovely steak meal in a beautiful setting look no further than here.

Thank you so much for having us along and making our...

OMG - the fillet steak here is amazing!!! Nice setting, overlooking the Rubicon Marina. We booked in advance via their facebook page, through messenger. Plenty of people came in to book for a few days ahead - it clearly is popular! Lovely attentive staff and knowledgeable about menu content. Starter was nice, but the star of the show was our main course... we both ordered a filet steak. Both cooked perfectly (one medium/well and the other well done) (large piece of meat) with hand cut chips and we both added a mushroom sauce. Devine and an amazing price! When we are back in Playa Blanca we are certain to come back.
