As food enthusiasts and avid explorers of culinary delights, my companions and I had the pleasure of dining at Dumpling Long on May 12th, 2024, for lunch. Little did we know that this visit would mark the beginning of an unforgettable gastronomic journey.

We decided to indulge in a variety of dishes to truly immerse ourselves in the flavors of authentic Chinese cuisine. Our order included Pork Dumplings, Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Bean Curd in Hot Garlic Sauce, Wok-Fried Beef Noodles, Egg Fried Rice with Soy Sauce, Szechuan Prawns, and more. Each dish was meticulously prepared and bursting with exquisite flavors.

One of the standout aspects of our dining experience at Dumpling Long was the exceptional value for money. Despite ordering a wide array of dishes for our group of four, we were pleasantly surprised to find that there were no additional service charges or taxes. The price listed on the menu was all we paid, making it a budget-friendly option without compromising on quality.

What truly impressed us was the authenticity of the cuisine. Each dish showcased the skillful craftsmanship and dedication of the chefs in capturing the essence of traditional Chinese flavors. From the savory Pork Dumplings to the fiery Szechuan Prawns, every bite transported us to the bustling streets of China.

While we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Dumpling Long, the only downside was the lack of card payment options. However, this minor inconvenience was overshadowed by the overall excellence of the food and service. For those who prefer cashless transactions, the restaurant offers the convenience of bank transfers.

I placed an order for Chicken and Mushroom Dumplings (12 pieces) through Uber Eats, hoping to try a new restaurant. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of my worst experiences.

Firstly, although I specifically paid extra for fried dumplings, what I received were boiled. Not only that, but the dumplings were stuck together in a clump, clearly indicating they were previously frozen and reheated just enough to be edible. The texture was unpleasant and unappetizing.

What made this experience even more unacceptable was finding a dead fly in the sauce provided. This is a serious hygiene issue and raised concerns about the kitchen’s cleanliness and food safety practices.

Additionally, despite selecting the option to receive utensils, no chopsticks or cutlery were included in the order.

I’m sharing this because there’s a growing trend of exploring new restaurants through platforms like Uber Eats, and experiences like this undermine the trust customers have in trying new places—especially when so many others are doing a great job.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously to prevent such issues...

Loved this place! It’s not a fancy establishment, which I love, and the food experience is 10/10. We ordered fried pork dumplings, boiled chicken and mushroom dumplings and 2 noodle dishes. Barely got to take photos as people were digging in!

The dumplings were filled generously with a good amount of meat and the dipping sauce that came with it really gave it an extra flavor boost. Each portion has 12 dumplings and was priced competitively.

The noodles were so flavorful and again had a good quantity of meat. The portion of the noodles weren’t big so if you have a bigger appetite, I would suggest getting something more as well. But we were feeling full - just enough to make room for dessert.

If you like exploring new places and cuisines, I definitely suggest giving this place a visit. The flavors are close to our normal palette anyway so you don’t have to be an adventurous foodie to try it out either. Definitely making plans to...
