This restaurant offers a variety of dish served on cast iron plate keeping the food piping hot. All dishes including brownies, drinks are served in such manner. The problem with this method is most of the dishes a tends to get burnt from underneath.
Food Review---- I have tried the western starter, Mongolian rice, Italian spaghetti, mix grill, ice cream brownie and the lime iced tea. The food is seems to be pre-cooked and then heated up and served, the dishes served lack salt and the meat seems hot from the outside but inside the meat was freezing. Looks like the meat was not fresh and undercooked. Most of the dishes like spaghetti, rice was burnt from under and were not fresh at all. The brownie was also burnt from underneath and the drinks were given with some smoke. wasn't good for my liking. The only good and fresh thing was the prawns which was cooked properly. Food portions usually can serve two people. On a scale 1-10, I would rate the food 3 which is completely low because food was not up to standard and was burnt. Food is just completely bland
Pricing--- Some of the dishes were priced reasonably around 700 like the brownies and drinks. The main dishes were priced between 1000-5000 and more for savans and dishes like mix grill etc. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the pricing to be around 8 which is pretty high for the main course. My bill for the dishes were Rs 29,000 for 4 people.
Restaurant Environment is cozy and gives a homely feeling because of the painting and birthday photographs. The chairs were not that comfortable for my liking.
Parking is adequate for around 6 vehicles it might get busier.
Overall, I won't be recommending this restaurant because of the lack of good fresh food. Even the foreigner I took for the restaurant wasn't happy with the food. This is like the third time visiting the restaurant and exact same response from my peers.
Just few pointers to add also
the different varieties of sauce and stuff was brought to the table after we were finished with the meal. The foreigners i took for the meal were literally furious. Mistakes do happen i do understand but then the staff were not attentive for our table from the start even when we wanted a extra plate and stuff.
Overall, 2 out...

Location : Off Walukarama Road Colpetty, about 25mts from Galle Road. Couple of Vehicles can be parked along the by-road but parking along Walukarama Road might not be possible during peak hours.
Ambience : Spacious interior with well spread out seating. Has an Indian-esque although they don’t specialise in Indian food.
Note : There were more than a couple of flies!
Service : Five stars for this! Called and reserved the table one hour before and told them it was for a B’dy celebration.
When we arrived, we were escorted to the table and it was decorated with Balloons and a Happy B’dy banner with the name on.
Was given a complimentary muffin and it was served while the background music played ‘Happy B’dy to you!’. This moment was captured on camera and it was given to us printed and framed.
Nandana, who was in-charge of serving us was very courteous and ready to help! Kudos to that!
Food : Ordered Valez taste of the sea as starters, Ken Shamrocks heel hooks as mains, Lemonade and Ginger ale for drinks.
The starter was to the point. Being a prawn lover my self, loved the grilled prawns. Those were seasoned and grilled pretty well. This was served with fries.
Chicken in Ken Shamrock too was well cooked. We picked noodles as the carb option - It was a bit on the dry side and tasted very plain. This was served with some vegetables which neither of us enjoyed.
Some of the beverage options we wanted to try weren’t available, hence settled for Lemonade and Ginger Ale. This is nothing more than your every day, Elephant House!
VFM : Enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Could improve on the ambience more. Overall good value for money except for the fact that, you will be charged all the taxes under the sun!

Read moreOrdered grilled barramundi with vegetables and potato wedges. As a result, they brought extremely very thinly sliced fillet on a pile of stewed cabbage, next to them were boiled carrots and long beans. For some reason, my friends had thicker pieces of fish fillet. The waiter refused to add a portion of fish to me and said that it was normal.Just a few potato slices. The stewed cabbage was not fully cooked, so it was crunchy. There is a lot of water in the plate because of this. Sauces separately. Absolutely not tasty. Only based on chili pepper or garlic. The management of this restaurant probably haven't heard of tartar or cream sauce for fish dishes. The strawberry iced tea at this restaurant is a mixture of iced tea with strawberry syrup, where you can't even taste the strawberries or tea. Fresh strawberries have never been heard of here. Apparently, for the “cool” effect of serving drinks, they add dry ice instead of natural ice, which made of carbon dioxide, the vapors of which are harmful if inhaled. Be careful, if you decide to drink your drink, do it only through a straw, otherwise if you touch this chemical ice with your lips, you will get burns, and if swallowed, the result can be fatal. The interior is very cheap and uncomfortable inside. Doesn't match the price level. There is no atmosphere. It's more like a canteen, but not a restaurant. What we have in the end: for 6,000 per person in Colombo you can eat more deliciously and in a more comfortable and...
