The Sizzle Colombo at Colpetty Location : Off Walukarama Road Colpetty, about 25mts from Galle Road. Couple of Vehicles can be parked along the by-road but parking along Walukarama Road might not be possible during peak hours. Ambience : Spacious interior with well spread out seating. Has an Indian-esque although they don’t specialise in Indian food. Note : There were more than a couple of flies! Service : Five stars for this! Called and reserved the table one hour before and told them it was for a B’dy celebration. When we arrived, we were escorted to the table and it was decorated with Balloons and a Happy B’dy banner with the name on. Was given a complimentary muffin and it was served while the background music played ‘Happy B’dy to you!’. This moment was captured on camera and it was given to us printed and framed. Nandana, who was in-charge of serving us was very courteous and ready to help! Kudos to that! Food : Ordered Valez taste of the sea as starters, Ken Shamrocks heel hooks as mains, Lemonade and Ginger ale for drinks. The starter was to the point. Being a prawn lover my self, loved the grilled prawns. Those were seasoned and grilled pretty well. This was served with fries. Chicken in Ken Shamrock too was well cooked. We picked noodles as the carb option - It was a bit on the dry side and tasted very plain. This was served with some vegetables which neither of us enjoyed. Some of the beverage options we wanted to try weren’t available, hence settled for Lemonade and Ginger Ale. This is nothing more than your every day, Elephant House! VFM : Enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Could improve on the ambience more. Overall good value for money except for the fact that, you will be charged all the taxes under the sun! Amazing place. It was my first time to sizzle and I was impressed with the service. They welcome me and show me a table and it was well arranged. Then they gave me their menu. Hospitality of the people work there was great. But the little upset on the menu. Because it was bit complicated and I believe it is not match to the appearance and the price of the place. People helped me to find the best dish and they brought them as soon as possible. Me and my wife was really impressed with the food..for a couple I recommend a one dish. Because most of the girls not eat much. And they are really good. After that they serve the amazing hot hot brownies with the smoke. And it was really tasty.. it was my first day and I should visit there again. Because as a traveler I always care about the service of a foody place..and they have it.. And I love the decorations around the place. Roof covers with lot of photos and it looks like we are part of it.. My experience was really amazing and I love it

1. Ordered grilled barramundi with vegetables and potato wedges. As a result, they brought extremely very thinly sliced fillet on a pile of stewed cabbage, next to them were boiled carrots and long beans. For some reason, my friends had thicker pieces of fish fillet. The waiter refused to add a portion of fish to me and said that it was normal.Just a few potato slices. The stewed cabbage was not fully cooked, so it was crunchy. There is a lot of water in the plate because of this. Sauces separately. Absolutely not tasty. Only based on chili pepper or garlic. The management of this restaurant probably haven't heard of tartar or cream sauce for fish dishes. 2. The strawberry iced tea at this restaurant is a mixture of iced tea with strawberry syrup, where you can't even taste the strawberries or tea. Fresh strawberries have never been heard of here. Apparently, for the “cool” effect of serving drinks, they add dry ice instead of natural ice, which made of carbon dioxide, the vapors of which are harmful if inhaled. Be careful, if you decide to drink your drink, do it only through a straw, otherwise if you touch this chemical ice with your lips, you will get burns, and if swallowed, the result can be fatal. 3. The interior is very cheap and uncomfortable inside. Doesn't match the price level. There is no atmosphere. It's more like a canteen, but not a restaurant. What we have in the end: for 6,000 per person in Colombo you can eat more deliciously and in a more comfortable and atmospheric place.

Food is Oki it came piping hot to the table(sizzling), but I'm still deciding if it's worth the money, for 2 people it will cost at least rs4000 on top of the prices there are service chargers and like 3 types of taxes for that alone more than rs500 will be taken out of the pocket. I bought the Mongolian rice which was kinda burnt on the edges of the plate cos it was that hot when it came to the table, but I kinda liked it cos it added a crispy texture, my girlfriend got the pasta it was comparatively less hot she was done with her's before me. I went around 1pm place was not crowded but people started coming in afterwards, there is a problem with parking cos their car park can only handle about 5 cars, I got to know that they used to give a big discount and a cake for birthday parties, I don't know if they do now but you can get your picture taken and get posted on their unique ceiling along with 100s of other people's smiling birthday photos.

It’s a family friendly restaurant. Very good service cozy environment and ambiance. Staff very friendly. Family own business, even the owner is pretty nice and friendly. Overall good place to go with the family. Coming to the menu. They do mostly sizzling platters and few other rice, noodles and kottu items. Food was pretty decent, portions were big and taste was decent as well. Without even asking they notice we were with a kid and offered extra cushion for the seat, for the child. And to keep her occupied till the food get ready the gave a drawing and colour box for her to paint. And before we left they have pinned it on a board near the entrance and the kid was very excited. Service 5/5 Quality of the food 4/5 Taste of food 4/5 Quantity of the food 5/5 Environment and ambiance 4/5 Overall experience 4.5/5 Would recommend this place.

Went to the restaurant after so many years and the one thing that never changed is the taste and quality of the food, never changed a bit, and brought back good memories. Took their veg sizzler for me along with chicken and beef for my guests, we all enjoyed the food whole heartedly. The interior cozy, and they have family rooms for privacy. Must mention the excellence of the service staffs, of course, it is very rude and bad from us, since my guests arrived late, we had to stay back very late, even after the closing time. But the staffs helped from ordering the menu before they arrive to wait until we completed the food and dessert. I must sincerely thank Avinash and Hashan, who stayed back, served us with a smile and politeness. Overall, if you need a different dining experience or to host your guests and family, a must go restaurant
