Min & Han Restaurant — Restaurant in Colombo

After reading so much good about the restaurant, I went with my family. Obviously the atmosphere and the ambiance is well below from what we expect from a restaurant. But I knew it was like that and was fine with it. There were guys (Chinese) chatting quite loud😁 and they were having a beer. So you know. The most important thing is the food. We ordered fried noodles with chicken, Fried rice with pineapple and chicken, pork dish and pork dumplings (fried). Each cost around 2000/-. So it is reasonable I guess, depending on your pocket. But they don't accept cards. So take enough cash if you are heading that way. The fried noodles is so tasty although I would have liked if there was a little bit more chicken in it (had to literally look for tiny parts) Rice was bland and below expectations. The chilli pork dish was ok but bit oily. The dumplings, you get 10 , were fine but they were dripping oil but tasted nice. So overall the food was kind of good but not exceptional as some have described. You should try "Sunlight garden" instead, there food used to be exceptional. Don't know now😂. All together this cost about 8500/- with 10% service charge. The service was ok. By the time the dumplings were ready we have already finished our mains. The noodles and rice appeared within like 15 -20 mins. They don't have a good wash room. Although there is a toilet there is no wash basin😂 to wash your hands afterwards 🤣. So beware. So that's it. The food was great and the man himself wijaya was there. Will visit this place again definitely, just not to eat in though. This is a place for takeaway

I will expand a bit , this is the type of place you would take your cousin for a lunch time meal , or perhaps a work buddy. Fully authentic food.

However for a family gathering or a date, its a no go.

The place does not exude any type of class in that sense. Its more of a place with a fantastic chef, who will make you a delectable meal.

Perhaps my version of a night out might be different than yours, in that instance I would say have a look at the photos and make that judgment yourself.

Like I said , I will visit again, but if a place does not have a credit card machine, yet has many good reviews

This place is not one of the fancy kinda place with nice interior. No reservations needed!! And some chairs are broken , room smells definitely not like a restaurant and its super noisy!!!! Not a romantic kinda place indeed!!! But i must admit the food is super super yummy!! The dishes have generous amount of food which u can share with couple of people!!! And most importantly the food is so affordable !! No need to worry what to buy and how many dishes etc , because wijayapala is there for you!!!
