Island Wraps — Restaurant in Colombo

Arrived to Colombo from London yesterday, today had to sort out something quick for lunch, googled the place, looked good and good reviews, also 7 min walk from my Airbnb I thought I'll give it a go. And I'm soooo happy I did. First of all, service - amazing, really nice friendly people, made me feel welcomed and didn't roll their eyes when I was asking 700 questions regarding my order ;) I went there but got the wrap take away. Secondly, the price - 1350 for falafel wrap plus 220 for extra dip and asked for little bit of hummus on the side, that's just fantastic! Especially that the portion is big (for me at least, I split the wrap in half cause half of it would feel me up, so basically had 2 meals for that price, but that's just me, I get that 99% of people would easily demolish the whole thing in one go). And thirdly and most importantly, it was actually really tasty! full of flavour, could do with a bit more salad /veg, but it was good all in all, and I would definitely get it again! Tbh I wanted to get the chicken one or prawn, but they said it's quite spicy, and to me the level of spice is just too much. I love a little bit of heat in the food, but not to the level that I cannot taste anything but it in a meal (as it happened when I got some food last night, half of which ended up in a bin cause it was impossible to stomach:/), however I think I will give it a go, will get the prawn one next time or fish! Why did I want to become a regular after just going there once for the first time? Simply put the service, portion and taste. Service - Friendly staff who constantly asks us about our comfortability and how the food was. Very important - They didn't let us wait for more than 15 mins for the food. Thanks to Post COVID, most restaurants prioritise their Uber eats and Pick me orders, can't blame them as people are still afraid to move out; But here at Island Wraps, they attended to their external orders as well as us the on site customers with care. Portion - I got the Mediterranean Grilled chicken All meat wrap pocket which costs Rs. 990. P. S I am someone who can eat a lot like a Big Mac or Monster chicken burger and still feel. I actually felt full and that also for under Rs. 1000 which is quite impossible these days unless you are going for a Full biriyani or Kottu. Taste - My wrap came with a BBQ sauce and Mayonnaise.
